BearLUX Lodge at Blue Ridge + Sauna, Gym, Hot tub

About this space
THIS IS IT! Your adventure awaits in the Georgia mountains at the BearLUX Cabin Lodge near Historic Downtown Blue Ridge! While here, enjoy space for 10+ guests, with convertible bed space for larger economy groups. Our wooded cabin features an open air hot tub, Swedish dry sauna, mini-gym, satellite/cable TV, pool table, foosball, classic books and games. Come park your oversized RV in our wrap-around driveway, take a long shower with our tankless heater system, and get ready to relax.
The space
Our cabin is designed with groups in mind, and features a 3-tier floor plan, with separate entertainment areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms on all three floors. Each entertainment area comes with a convertible couch bed for hosting extra large economy groups of up to 10 guests. Our basement bedroom is specifically set up for a family with children and features a queen-sized bunk bed and pullout trundle bed. Our loft also comes with a full office space and dual monitor display (for gaming or work), with HDMI or USB-C connection.

The decor in our home is an industrial boho blend, combining mid-century modern furniture with the rustic feel of iron and dark wood surfaces for a stylish and earthy feel.

Our deck is a 3/4 wrap-around deck, with 1/3 of the deck covered and the rest is open-air (perfect for seeing stars through the trees at night!). The deck faces into the forest and mountain area (the mountains are visible seasonally).
Guest access
Our guests have full access to every part of the home and our 3 acre lot, with the exception of a small downstairs closet reserved for maintenance and outdoor shed.
Other things to note
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

- AMENITIES: Most questions about how to use our amenities can be answered by the instructions inside the cabin. Read the signs to get answers if you'd rather not contact us! We've tried to make them entertaining. :)

- BEDS: The property is optimized for up to 10 guests, with additional convertible bed space available.

- BABIES: If you are traveling with children. We will have at least one pack-n-play portable crib available for you on the property when you arrive.

- BUGS and NATURE: Wooded mountain land is home to many neighbors, including: bears, mice, bees, ants, rats, chiggers, mosquitos, spiders, southern devil scorpions (shy, non-lethal, similar to spiders), and roaches---just to name a few! While our cabin is regularly treated by professionals to keep our friends outside, some forest friends will wander indoors, so please help us by keeping the place clean, closing doors, and wearing insect repellant.

- GAS for GRILL: The cost of propane gas for the grill is included with your stay! If you have to exchange a tank because we forgot to refill, a one-time fill up is 100% reimbursable.

- HOT TUB: The hot tub is cleaned between every stay for your health and safety, and will need about 5-8 hours to heat to the maximum temperature (104 F) after being cleaned. We strongly recommend you set the desired temperature as soon as you arrive and close the lid to maximize the available use time.

- INTERNET and TV: Enjoy high-speed 5G internet for all your online needs, from streaming movies to sports events on your devices. Our TVs are equipped with Roku in Guest Mode – simply turn them on, and they will prompt for your check-out date. Rest assured, any credentials used during your stay will be automatically deleted right after the designated check-out date and time.

- MAINTENANCE CALLS: We'll do our best not to disturb you. If maintenance is needed during your stay, we will always attempt to communicate with you first in non-emergency situations.

- PARTIES and CONFETTI: Parties are not permitted at the property. Small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, babies, graduations, or weddings are permitted as long as they are disclosed beforehand and all guests and visitors are included in the reservation headcount. Guests caught hosting undisclosed parties will be evicted without refund and their accounts reported. Glitter, confetti, and powders are strictly prohibited because they can and do stain wood floors.

- PETS: We want to make sure all our guests are comfortable, including our furry ones. Please remember to add your pet to your headcount so our cleaning team can properly prepare. Our pet fee will cover basic cleaning for up to two dogs, but will not cover fur from excessive shedding, damage from teeth or claws, or stains/smells from messes. These issues may incur separate charges, if found. For this reason, we ask that you keep pets off of the furniture and linens. Also, for your own pet's safety, please do not bring them if they are aggressive or nervous around humans or other animals. Our property is unfenced, and most of the neighbors have friendly dogs. Fannin County allows residents to protect themselves and their animals with force, if attacked, and we want to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable!

- POWER OUTAGES: Power outages are not uncommon in the mountains. They are usually resolved within a day (typically only a few hours). Since your safety is our priority, we do give our guests the option to cancel their stay for a full refund of remaining nights after 5 hours with no power. Please note that our well water system requires power, so power outages do mean water will not run. Drinking water purchased during outages is reimbursable.

- SAUNA: Our Swedish Dry Sauna is a great health amenity, but it is delicate. Please do NOT pour water on the stones, there are heating coils beneath the stones that will burn out or deactivate the system, if wet. We also recommend not setting the temperature above 175 F for your safety and to prevent overheating.

- SUPPLIES and FIREWOOD: We do not provide wood or fire starters, so please bring what you need for the outdoor fire pit! The home does comes with starter quantities of almost everything else. If you run out or need something that isn't available, Dollar General or Walmart are only minutes away.

SAFETY CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE:

Our guests are never expected to clean the cabin--that's what the cleaning fee is for. We do, however, ask our guests to put all their garbage into the provided garbage bags (including recyclables) and wash/return any used dishes before checking out. This helps us to avoid leaving behind food smells that attract pests or potentially dangerous wildlife.

Beyond that, guests are only asked to turn things off and make sure fires are out, etc. before departing. A short list of safety tasks will be sent at the end of your stay.

AVOID FINES

We have 3 no-exception fines for the property:

- Stained bedspreads will receive a $50 charge to replace.

- Putting any unbagged garbage (including cans and cardboard) into the large outdoor cans will result in a $50 fine. Unbagged trash in the woods is a safety issue as well as an expensive problem for our trash valet.

- Eating or leaving foreign substances in the hot tub will result in a $100 fine.

All other damages, stains, or extra cleaning are handled on a case-by-case basis and can result in a fine. Cleaning fees only cover standard makeready costs--not deep cleans or excessive messes.

Fines are very rare, but they do happen when guests don't read the house rules or choose to leave behind large messes. Please be respectful and take the time to read our messages to you!
