Relax with your family and friends at this peaceful place!
Enjoy beautiful Fox River in the back yard. Relax on the firepit, and yes we got the firewood on side for you FREE, all you need is marshmallows! The house is minutes away from downtown Yorkville, Raging Waves Waterpark and right next to beautiful Silver Springs park. There are ton of fun activities and places to explore around! The nearby towns offer great restaurants and events.

I was highly impressed with everything! From the cleanliness of the house, the location and the communication with the hosts, it made our stay absolutely incredible! I wish we could have stayed longer and been able to enjoy everything the house had to offer. I loved the peacefulness being on the river brought. Being from a very busy city, it was just what I needed. I highly recommend this property and these hosts!

It was a place that fit everyone’s needs. Brought fishing gear and had great family time in the open floor plan. Hosts were super sweet!

Great place, great host!

Enjoyed our stay, place was as advertised, and Jimmy/Anna were great hosts! Really enjoyed being outdoors, and the views of the river. Would book again!

The stay at Fox River was so relaxing and serene. If we're ever in the area again we will definitely check here first. We had a little trouble finding the exact spot but mostly because it was dark and raining when we arrived. The instructions for getting in were easy to follow. The place was immaculate & the hosts were very conscientious to detail. We needed nothing while we were there (except groceries). Sitting by the river in the morning sipping my green tea was a great way to start the day. The beds were comfy. I slept well. Hubby cooked and made good use of the kitchen while I was in training most of the day. He had no complaints about the kitchen. The hosts checked in upon our arrival to make sure everything went smoothly and again before we left. I was super impressed with the entire experience. Thank you for making us feel at home 10 hours from home!!

Family visit

Very clean and comfortable beds. Had everything we needed and lots more. We will stay again next time we are in town.

Great hosts, clean property, nice getaway

We enjoyed staying here and watching the fireworks on the river. The property was clean and the neighbors were very friendly. My husband and son enjoyed the fishing, just use plenty of bug spray because it’s not just the fish biting around there!

Wonderful family weekend

We enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend by the river and the kids loved it! They didn't want to leave when it was time to go, we would definitely recommend and come back!

Perfect home away from home!

The River House was exactly what we needed for our family, and more! The space was great for our 4, 2, and 1 year old, and the kitchen was super easy to work out of. The hosts put so many thoughtful details into the space and had extremely quick and helpful communication. We will definitely stay here again anytime we are in the area.

Jimmy and Anna were very welcoming and responsive! The property is beautiful. The home is neat, spacious, and comes with everything you could think of. Very quiet and peaceful area. Staying along the Fox River was so much fun- fishing, walks, relaxing outside. We often saw Eagles flying behind the house quite a few deer. One was even walking across the river and the kids loved seeing that!Highly recommend this space, even if you’re a local that just wants a relaxing weekend getaway fishing!

Relaxing getaway

Beautiful scenic view of the river. First time fishing for my son, who absolutely adored it! Thank you for the host for being so generous and letting us borrow his fishing supplies. Neighbors were nice. The state park was fun to visit too. We grilled, made s'mores, relaxed, and had an amazing long weekend. Would highly recommend.

Fox River

We have stayed at many places, this place takes the cake! The owners had everything you would ever need. The communication was great also! My family and I enjoyed sitting by river and staying warm by the fire (again everything you need, yes even fire wood. The home and the grounds were very clean as well. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic family river time

The house is perfect for river life. We were able to accommodate our large family easily. The place is perfect for eating and relaxing. The fishing was great. Plenty of activities for all ages in the evenings after a long day playing in the area. We really enjoyed all aspects of the property. Jimmy and Anna obviously put a lot of love into this place. Highly recommend this to all

Perfect

Fantastic outdoor spaces. We appreciated the thoughtful touches. The space was exactly as described. We loved sitting with our feet in the river. There were six adults in our group; We spent most of our weekend hanging out at the house and it was more than comfortable. The beds were good. The futon was comfortable to sit on but not to sleep on (just an FYI).
