We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabins are super cute! The property is really nice, with access to the river and plenty of room for hanging out on the back deck and at the fire pit. It’s far enough from town to be tranquil and private, but close enough to make a quick run if you need anything. We loved that we could bring our pups, because they’re family, too! We had a few small issues while we were there, but they were very minor, and the owner is super responsive. Overall, a great place, and we’d definitely stay here again!

The cabins were very comfortable and spacious. We had 4 couples plus a dog and a family with kids. The property worked great for us!We were able to eat together and play games in the main cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at these beautiful cabins and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and responsive. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and it was clear they genuinely wanted to make sure we had a wonderful stay.One of our favorite features was the bustling creek beside the cabin. The sound of the rushing water added so much to the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Because there had been quite a bit of rain, the trek down to the water was a little slippery, so we picked up some walking sticks, which made getting there much easier and became part of the adventure!The property also has plenty to enjoy without ever needing to leave. There’s a fishing pole available, a hot tub for relaxing, a foosball table, and three fire pits—perfect for spending evenings outside. An unexpected highlight was the very friendly dog who presumably lives next door and stopped by to say hello. He was an adorable addition to our stay!The cabins themselves are charming, comfortable, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Between the creek, outdoor amenities, peaceful setting, and exceptionally kind hosts, this was a wonderful place for our family to get away and enjoy some time together.We highly recommend these lovely cabins and their delightful hosts. Thank you for such an enjoyable and memorable stay!

This was a great place and location for my three daughters and their families, my husband and myself. Grandkids ranged from 4-15 and everyone had a great time! Great location near everything . Very good host and well stocked kitchen and house

Our stay at the cabin on Fightingtown Creek was great! We had a group of 14 adults attend for a weekend getaway. Our host was very communicative, responsive, and reliable! The cabin was spacious, and very clean upon our arrival. It was stocked with plenty of dishwater and cooking supplies. There was ample room for all 14 guests to have plenty of space. The outdoor amenities including the fire pit and hot tub were nice perks! Overall, we highly recommend this stay.

4th of July

My family and I really enjoyed staying here for the 4th of July weekend. The cabins are great especially for multiple families and our dogs. Really great communication. Hopefully we can stay here again next year!

Cabin in the woods

Excellent vacation for a family of 12! The Creek out back provided endless entertainment. The owner was uber quick with responding when we needed something. We plan to come visit again!!

Highly Recommend!

What a perfect place for a large family to come together and reconnect, relax, and just enjoy each other's company. We enjoyed having lots of personal space, but also a living room where we could all be together and celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. We'll be back!

Family Vacation

The pictures on the listing did not seem to match up with the reality of the cabin. The cabin also was not fully clean when we arrived, and the fire pit at the larger cabin's deck did not have propane to light. We did enjoy seeing the local wildlife though.

Great time!

Most everything was great. A few minor negatives - welcomed by a black rat snake on the back patio, lost power for about 2 or 3 hours one day, had a problem with ants getting into our food left on cabinet (birthday cake), the creek was beautiful but fishing it was poor. But really enjoyed the two cabins and odd in a beautiful setting and very convenient to the town of Blue Ridge which was really a neat place.

Perfect Family Getaway Spot

Cozy, relaxing atmosphere perfect for our large family. Just the right amount of space for us to gather in common areas, yet still retreat to our own private spaces as needed. Fire pits, hot tub, the babbling creek, deer frolicking in nearby fields, and fresh mountain air were the perfect setting for us to relax, unwind, and reconnect. Serene, quiet area, but still close enough to town to enjoy the restaurants, shops, & attractions. Property was very clean and well stocked with essentials. Communication with property management was timely and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay, would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend to others!

Great Home/environment!!

We stay in Blue Ridge every fall as a family. And this location did not disappoint. We usually stay up in mountain cabins, but tried a change of pace. And it was a great location, sitting on the deck next to the creek with all the fall colors was awesome. We had 7adults and 4 children, and the space and privacy you have is perfect. The home was very clean, and if there was an issue(which we didn’t have) they were very easy to reach out too. We hope to stay here again going forward. The cabin has the true cabin feel you want. If you are truly looking for a good experience, stay here.

Overall, the place was okay. We had a problem with the garbage (outside, had not been picked up from previous renter). There was no coffee pot to the coffee maker. There was a Keurig, but we had loose coffee. Lighting in the basement was bad- two adults fell from our group.

Our first impressions was how filthy this house was. Easy to fix stuff like just a good pressure wash. Between the management company or the owners I truly don’t believe they care. Their commutation was fairly responsive however few of the concerns were addressed. The grill didn’t work but replaced 2 nights before we left. Spider webs inside and outside all 3 units. Screen torn, furniture on the porch unraveling and the seat cushions just nasty, so dirty we couldn’t set in them. The cookware was so bad we were afraid to use them. The pictures they post are completely misleading. We had all 3 of our children with their families come from central Florida as we do every year. Without a doubt the absolute worst home we have ever stayed in. My advice is save yourself the grief and do not stay here. It’s truly a shame too, this property could be so much better. My wife made the comment “Why are we being charged a cleaning fee? In addition the rooms are so small that most of the bedrooms don’t have a dresser so you have to live out of your suitcase. Washing machine had mold all over the seal. I have lots of pictures but I can’t see where to post them. This was a horrible experience. Please note that this is our first negative review ever on VRBO.

Annual family get together

12 of us aged 88 to 12 with 2 dogs and 4 Father’s Day drop ins for a cookout. The 12 dogs enjoyed a five night stay. The screened in porch is the only dining spot for 12 but worked well, even on the one rainy evening. Host was quickly responsive to minor issues on check-in. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. three separate living spaces provide privacy, lots of smaller gathering spaces for games and conversation. we enjoyed the hot tub, cornhole , grilling. The creekterrain is steep. You gotta watch your step, inside and out—you are in the mountains! We enjoyed the town, lake tubing and zipline 13-year-old spent most daylight hours knee-deep in the beautiful creek and caught five trout big enough to cook and eat. Descriptions of space in listing made it hard to figure out how space would work for us but it did. It was a Breathtakingly Beautiful quiet comfortable setting for our annual family gathering.

Hmmmmm

The way the property was shown in the pictures wasn't really accurate. If there are Senior/Disabled members of the family/group this is not the rental for you. No ramps for easier access to the cabins. The distance to Fighting Creek was approx. 70 yards with a very steep "pathway".Both of the cabins seem to be in construction mode, as there were signs of work being done. The basement had nails and tack strips still in place from carpet removal (Granddaughter sustained a cut on her foot from a nail in the floor)No instructions for the gas fireplace in the main cabin.On the good side, we found the basement flooded upon our arrival, made a quick phone call to Rob, execellent reaction to the issue, a service tech was sent out at 10 pm in a major rain storm. The leak was found and water was turned off for the next 24 hours. Rob compensated us for the lack of water, and it was fixed the next day.We did find a leak from the upstairs shower during the last three days of the group stay. This was pointed out to the clean up crew as we were leaving.Not a bad cabin setup for a younger group of adults.The best part was the outside deck with a gas firepit and view/sounds of Fighting Creek.

Needs some updating! Should have another trash bin because when you have a place that accommodates that many people there is a lot of trash. No broom or mop to sweep up in main cabin and upstairs loft cabin. It was nicely stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The cabin itself needs a very deep clean and updated . It was clean on surface but we did see a lot of spiderwebs through out cabin. These are minor things. The host was very responsive and quick to address issues.The expansive screened deck was very nice .lots of time spent there. Does need the deck furniture updated.overall experience was great nice location close to lots of things. Easy drive to cabin not too steep to get to cabin.Overall it was a nice relaxing trip which is what we were looking for.

Our 13 guest family vacation was held at this location. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We spent most evenings gathered around the firepit which was situated perfectly in the middle of both cabins.
