The original Old Wash House, located just a mile from the lodge, is wrapped in local folklore and Appalachian tall tales. This room pays tribute to that history, blending rustic character with modern comfort — the kind of setting you might imagine in stories passed down through generations.
After a day of exploring, cozy up beside the lodge's wood-burning fireplace in the beautiful mezzanine, or stroll downstairs to Bearrr Appetit Restaurant for delicious dining paired with spectacular mountain views.

Wonderful stay. Mountain views out on the balcony morning and evening. Very pet friendly all over the property. Perfect distance from the national park. Would recommend to everyone and stay again for sure!

We booked three rooms, really enjoyed having the balcony accessible to all three of us where we could share the full view together without being blocked off from each other while still having enough privacy for each room

We don't like much decor, it felt cluttered but appropriately named.

The float kept sticking when flushing the toilet. Outside on the porch, ants are eating away at one or more logs. Two needed maintenance issues. We were looking for a relaxed and enjoyable weekend. We found that, thank you.
