Huge DOWNSTAIRS apartment that’s perfect if you’ll be out all day and need a place to crash. Lacks some niceties and a house instruction manual. We had a miscommunication with the owner that put a damper on our first day but ok from there on out.

The apartment was clean, roomy, and very quiet for a NYC apartment. The location was great - close to grocery stores, restaurants, and the subway. Highly recommend.

The property is spacious and convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. The outdoor patio is very nice but could use some cleaning. Also close to the subway. It met our needs well. However, the dishwasher did not work and the remote for the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms was missing. We called the contact number we were given and never got a response.

This apartment is in a great location, close to the subway, restaurants, and Whole Foods. It is very spacious and equipped with all the essentials.The only issue was a water or humidity stain on the ceiling of the smaller bedroom, which should be addressed. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay.Thank you!

Overall, we had a good experience. Especially for a visit to NYC with children, the space and the cost were the standouts. I was able to book five nights here to accommodate an early check in from a red eye flight for less than four nights at a Times Square hotel. We also appreciated close access to the Subway, which got us to all the places we wanted to see easily. The neighborhood itself was nice and generally felt safe. We enjoyed a dinner st Sylvia’s, being able to walk to see the Apollo Theater, The Studio Museum, and the “Crack is Wack” Keith Haring mural. We’ve always stayed more in “tourist central” so it was fun to be immersed in a different part of the city. The gate keypad was dead one night when we returned after a long day, which was frustrating. We were luckily able to get in on our own, and it was repaired before we left the next morning, though the battery box still hung down precariously (and made us nervous about being locked out again). The bathroom could use a new bath mat and shower curtain; both seem to have mold. We also came home one night to find someone inside the locked gate area and had no idea why. It turned out to be some maintenance on the heating, but at 9:30pm at night and with no communication from the host, it was disconcerting. We couldn’t get the dishwasher to start. I do feel like the photos of the unit make it seem like you will stay upstairs, but this is the unit below.

The apartment was close to the 125th st station which made it easy to travel around. The house was tidy and it was nice having the extra space with a second bedroom. We booked for a week and were supplied with only one paper towel roll and toilet paper roll. The floors were unexpectedly filthy- it was immediately noticeable. Our socks were black from walking around. Upon further exploration of the house, we saw crumbles of blue crystal like substances scattered throughout the floor and found that it had been from rat poison blocks hidden behind the radiators. For more context, we had our young toddler with us and immediately had to start cleaning the entire house. We even had to purchase swiffer mop pads to clean the floors because there were no available cleaning agents on site. I didn’t feel it was necessary to message the host regarding this issue since we were on a tight timeline with our plans and had to take care of it immediately. Lastly, the beds are extremely uncomfortable to where the couch was a better option for sleeping. This place might make sense if you like to travel alone and don’t care how clean it is.

The Location is Perfect, the parking is fantastic, our family felt safe, plenty of space, the out door space makes you forget you are in New York at times. One Hugh tip that will absolutely help. The apartment is down the few step on the bottom level of the brownstone.Plenty of food close by, shopping, and the subway is 2 blocks away to get to anywhere in the city quickly and cheaply.Great find and the price was pretty fare. It’s not brand new but plenty of if dates to feel comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again in the future

Finding a 2br spot 10min from the A train for this price made me a bit skeptical, but I was really impressed. Went for a trip to see family friends with my 82 year old father and needed a last minute place to stay. The host was very responsive to questions about checkin and didn't mind that we arrived late. There are a few quirks as with any new york apartment (some water damage on the ceiling in the 2nd br for example), but it was clean and mindfully decorated. The back patio with the garden stole the show! Great open space for lunch or just enjoying the weather. Given the price point, this place is a steal. I will definitely be staying there on my next trip to NYC. 5 stars!

Location was convenient to the 125th St subway station, which made getting around very easy. Lots of great restaurants and grocery stores nearby so you'll have no problem finding someplace to eat, or something to cook at home if you prefer. The brownstone itself is lovely and well-maintained on a block full of similarly charming homes. We had a great time and would stay here again.

Great spot

Great stay

Great Harlem Brownstone

This was the perfect home base for our trip to New York City. It had easy access to the subway, grocery and store options, and great restaurants. The apartment was clean and well-apportioned. The garden was a lovely bonus in the city.
