Why stay in the city when you can get off the grid and still easily access the city in 15 minutes, and beautiful Paul b. Johnson Lake? Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, creek-side getaway! Cozy and rustic, cathedral living room ceiling, amazing wood-burning fireplace inside and firepit outside, all overlooking the water! Large upstairs deck & great lower covered activity space for hot days. There's a smart TV in each bedroom, a living room smart TV, outdoor smart TV and outdoor furniture set, all with easy creek access and quiet surroundings! Two bedrooms with queen beds, a pull-out couch with queen bed, washer and dryer, stove, refrigerator, microwave. You have Wi-Fi, board games, foosball, darts, snacks and coffee, and a very responsive host. Everything you need to have a great getaway! There’s no one directly across the creek from the Cabin, so privacy is great from the deck & you have views of natural forest. It's a wonderful scene to either wake up to with coffee or have drinks in the evening to. Let us give you an experience worth remembering!

Very clean and host was very easy to communicate with. The only negative I have is some things needed maintenance but did not take away from the enjoyment of staying there.

The cabin was clean but not well maintained. Peeling paint on various ceilings, rotting OSB board in the outdoor entrainment area, along with worn outdoor furniture, and the deck had several weathered boards and missing paint. The pictures listed does not represent the property accurately for the overall cost of the stay.

This quaint little cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for my family. It was very clean and the beds are comfortable. The large deck overlooking the creek was the perfect spot to watch my husband and grandson play in the creek. There are floats and a rope swing provided. Make sure to bring your fishing poles. We also loved the area under the raised cabin. There is comfortable outdoor sofa and a large tv where we watched the LSU game and played on the foosball table. Josh, the owner, was overly accommodating and we are looking forward to our next stay.

Relaxing Get-Away

My husband and I just needed a quick, relaxing weekend get away. This was it! The raised cabin sits on the creek edge just a few feet from the water. It was very relaxing to sit outside, either upstairs on the balcony or below in the sectional outdoor sofa, listening to the water trickling by or watching TV on the big screen. Josh was easy to contact, quick to respond, and just a delight to work with. He provided several personalized touches to make our stay exactly what we wanted and needed. The cabin is furnished very well, the beds and furniture are quite comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer, however we did have to return to reality! We do hope to return again. Thanks, Josh, for making this a wonderfully, relaxing, weekend for us!

This was our first VRBO experience, and it exceeded every expectation from the very start. Our host was outstanding—quick, clear, and consistently helpful in every interaction, and incredibly accommodating when we arrived early and even had our check out days mixed up lol. We he messaged us to make sure we were ok I was low key stressing for a min but he handled everything with genuine kindness and flexibility, making us feel truly cared for and completely at ease. The home was exactly as described and perfect for our group. The creek was definitely the highlight of the trip for our kids! Even the family and friends who visited for our big cookout that we did! Everyone enjoyed jumping from the rope, swimming in the creek and playing games! Everything about the stay was effortless, relaxing, and truly memorable. We would definitely return in a heartbeat!!

The house was lovely but the back deck was the best part. Everyone enjoyed the creek and the peace and quiet the property offered. I will say the house does not sleep 8 but we made due with the space we had. Overall it was a great stay.

Nice little cabin. Host was amazing with communication. Great creek spot. Cabin isn’t secluded, mosquito haven, pull out bed is NOT comfortable and cabin could use a little TLC.. Still worth it for the price!
