This spacious and beautifully designed 5-bedroom, 4.5-bath La Jolla vacation rental is a combined upstairs/downstairs duplex home creating the ideal setup for families and groups. Guests benefit from two fully equipped kitchens, two distinct living rooms, and separate sleeping quarters, ideal for extended family gatherings or friends traveling together who desire communal and private spaces.

• The City of San Diego's Short-Term Rental Ordinance is strictly enforced. Parties and/or noise disturbances will result in a minimum $1,000 fine and eviction with no refunds.

• Guests must sign a separate e-sign agreement with important terms and conditions and ID and credit card verification is required to complete the booking process.

• Check-in time: 4:00 PM Check-out: 10:00 AM. To properly clean, sanitize and maintain the home, we are unable to accommodate early check-ins or check-outs if another guest is arriving or departing that day.

• Furnishings and amenities are subject to change. No refunds are given for any reason unless the home is uninhabitable. Guest ages and plans for use of the home must be approved, and reservations may be declined or canceled at management’s discretion.

Q: How are the two living spaces connected?
A: This property is a duplex combined into one large vacation rental. The main 3-bedroom unit and the attached 2-bedroom unit are accessed on the second floor, making them easily accessible to one another while providing separate full kitchens and living areas for privacy.

Q: Is there air conditioning?
A: Yes, the home is equipped with air conditioning for your comfort, particularly during the warmer summer and fall months.

Q: What is the parking situation?
A: We provide excellent parking for a coastal location! Guests have access to two dedicated spaces within the shared 3-car garage. While street parking is available, the garage spaces are highly valued (as noted by previous guests).

Q: What kind of supplies are provided?
A: We provide all white hotel-style linens and bath towels for the beds and bathrooms. We also provide initial starter supplies (e.g., soap, toilet paper). Guests should plan to bring their own beach towels and any specialized kitchen ingredients.

Q: How close are we to the beach?
A: The home is ideally located one block (about 6 houses) from the sand and the famous Windansea surf break. You can be on the beach in less than a minute!

Q: How far is the home from the Village of La Jolla and local restaurants?
A: You can walk to local shops and restaurants in the immediate Windansea area. The bustling Village of La Jolla (with more shops, museums, and oceanfront dining) is approximately 1 mile away.

Q: Is the rooftop deck private?
A: Yes, the ocean-view rooftop deck is accessed via a spiral staircase and is completely private for the use of your group.

Q: What is the minimum age requirement for booking?
A: The primary renter and all occupants unless part of a family group must be 25 years of age or older and must provide ID and credit card verification upon booking and upon request.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: No, this is a no-pet property.

Q: What is the outdoor noise policy?
A: To ensure a peaceful experience for all neighbors in this residential area, guests must never create noise disturbances and we enforce a strict 9:00 pm outdoor noise curfew.

A: Yes, many families have enjoyed their stay, and the home is very spacious. Please note that there are stairs throughout the home, including a spiral staircase to the rooftop deck, so active supervision of young children is required.

Great Family Home

Everything about our stay was easy and perfect for our three families. We loved being so close to the beach and quick access to everything in the village. The kitchen was well stocked and made meals at home a breeze. The property manager responded very quickly to any concerns and provided helpful information for our time in La Jolla.

Family Celebration Near the Beach

We enjoyed our stay @ Bluewater in La Jolla! Our group of 10 people and an infant went smoothly and we would certainly come back! Everyone had a comfortable place to rest their heads and the extra apartment attached to the home was a great addition for the older members or our family. The place was clean, as advertised and walking distance to the beach. We did request an early check in that was not granted, and would have appreciated that accommodation. Additionally, our group needed extra sheets for different reasons and we could only find one extra pair in the house. This was mitigated after calling the host on call, but it would have been helpful to have plenty of extra sheets for guest use.
