Recreational Retreat in Trapper Creek, AK

Experience Trapper Creek like a local in this 2-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath cabin. This property is conveniently located only1.5 miles from the Parks Highway. Nestled in nature, our property offers a cozy retreat for up to 8 guests, on 17 acres. With all the modern amenities of home, but the beauty of Alaska outside your door. This lofted cabin features 4 queen beds, that make this cabin ideal for families and friends to enjoy with plenty of space for everyone.

Wake up to breathtaking views and enjoy the fully furnished kitchen, and all the essentials it has to offer. A standard coffee pot, and coffee is provided for your stay. There is also a laundry room, with a full size washer and dryer, for your convenience. Two Toyo heaters will keep you warm during your stay, along with multiple ceiling fans, for a cool breeze when needed. The cabin is newly remodeled, and is very well kept.

There is plenty of space for parking with the large circular driveway. Easy access for an RV, or trailer full of toys. Our cabin is only steps away from snowmachine trails, and the Susitna River. A short drive to the entrance of Denali State Park, and a two hour drive to the entrance of Denali National Park, makes our cabin the perfect base for your Denali getaway. Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place.

*IMPORTANT: Please note that the loft has a private entrance which is only accessible by the exterior staircase located outside the back door. The loft is not accessible from inside the house. The 1/2 bath is located in the loft.

Such a wonderful property! Well accommodated and comfortable. Property was clean, lots of space, and super comfortable beds. Hosts were very helpful and easy to work with. Location was very quiet and tucked away but close to Talkeetna and views of Denali (if it hadn’t been cloudy). Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again.

There was a bad fuel smell by the front entry. We could smell it through the house. The TV would not work even when we bought new batteries for it. No heat was on when we got there.

We’re sorry to hear that Anita experienced these issues during her stay. When she let us know that the TV was not working, we offered to come over immediately to fix it, but we did not hear back until the following day, when she said she would try replacing the batteries. We never received any further communication about the TV, so we believed the issue had been resolved. Had she let us know it was still not working, we would have been happy to come over and assist. These issues could have been resolved easily if she had communicated better during her stay. We also did not receive any communication during the stay about a fuel smell or heating concerns. The heater had recently been serviced and was being used for the first time since being serviced. A back heater is always left on its lowest setting. The home has two Toyo stoves that heat the space quickly, along with electric heaters available throughout the house. Anita left a note after checkout mentioning these concerns, but we would have appreciated the opportunity to address them during the stay.These concerns could also have been resolved easily if she had communicated them to us promptly. Additionally, some towels were stained after being washed with another item, which Anita also mentioned in the note she left. We always encourage guests to contact us promptly so we can resolve any issues and help ensure a comfortable stay.

Alaska Family Vacation

Property and Location was as Advertised. Well maintained, great communication with the host. Location was great for what we wanted. It was quiet and very nice accommodations. Beds were super comfy.Its about 125 miles south of Denali Nation Park, but a great location north of Anchorage. General Store and fuel 1 mile away I would definitely book again
