Calm Waters at The Retreat at Water's Edge

You wake to still water, walk down to the fishing dock, and push a kayak out before anyone else is up. Calm Waters is a lakefront tiny home at The Retreat at Water's Edge with a hot tub, a fire pit and mountain views from the porch, 50 minutes from Tims Ford State Park.

This one suits two couples, a small family, or anyone who wants the water close enough to hear it.

Three queen beds sleep six: a master bedroom, a guest bedroom, and a loft reached by stairs. Two full bathrooms, each with a combination tub and shower, mean nobody waits. The kitchen opens onto the living and dining space with a stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, pod coffee maker, toaster, blender, ice maker, kitchen island and wine glasses. Smart TVs are in the living room, the master bedroom and the loft. There is a laptop-friendly workspace, a washer and dryer, central heat and air, and ceiling fans.

Outside, an uncovered deck carries the hot tub and outdoor dining, a charcoal grill and a fire pit sit in a private yard, and two kayaks come with the home along with lake access.

Water's Edge sits on Tims Ford Lake outside Lynchburg. 50 minutes to Tims Ford State Park, 60 minutes to Jack Daniel's Distillery, 37 minutes to the Lynchburg square.

What is included: linens, towels, basic soaps, paper towels and toilet paper, the two kayaks, the hot tub, free parking, and keypad entry available 24 hours a day. Firewood and charcoal are not included, but you are welcome to bring your own or buy a bundle from Retreat Vacations.
