Awesome but ….

Great price, great place but needs better house cleaning especially when pets are involved. Our suite had an excessive amount of dog hair all over everything. We love pets but we can do better.

This was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting family in the area. The suite was very clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Clean, quiet, and well priced

We booked at the last minute for a weekend trip, and are glad that we found The Traveler. This will be our new go to spot! It was clean, quiet, easy check in and out, and definitely a value for the money.

wonder place!

the room at the Traveler was very nice, clean and comfortable. I wish I was able to stay longer. The full kitchen would have been very useful for a multi day stay.

Very pleasant surprise to find such a wonderful gem. This was one of the best lodging rentals we have used on VRBO. Location was perfect. Cleanliness top notch. Check in/out was a breeze. Would highly recommend. We will be back in the future.

Very clean, large, great location. Doors are very heavy and are loud when they shut. Entry codes long making entry somewhat frustrating. Otherwise, great place to stay.
Seen plenty of deer while staying here.

Great Accommodations for our Guests

A huge thank-you to Beth and the Traveler On Main for helping us to host our guests earlier this month! We had out-of-town visitors who would be spending several long work days with our organization and needed comfortable rooms to return to each evening. Each guest loved their suite and were so impressed that at the conclusion of their stay, said they wanted to return to the Traveler with their families for a leisure trip!

It's the little things...

If I could do do three and half stars, I would. We stayed a week and the things we found were lacking were things like no linens in the kitchen (dish towels, pot holders,...), only a partial roll of paper towels and TP in the place when we arrived, no extra trash bags,... Had we been staying for a night or two, we wouldn't have noticed some of things but we were there a week so we noticed all of them. The host was quick to deliver more paper products but still not enough for a week. The kitchen is as bare bones as you can get. Again, if you're there for a day or two, you probably eat out every meal. Staying longer and the lack of plates, pans, and utensils is far more evident. We've stayed here twice and like the location and the cleanliness. It's a five star place if you address the little things. Oh, one final little thing, adjust the door closers so you can open the doors and they don't crush you when you try to walk out or sound like the building is coming down when other people come and go downstairs.

Great place for guest!

We reserved a room for a guest speaker at our church, and they were very appreciative of the accommodations. I understand what it's like when you travel a lot and try my best to make this experience the best possible and Traveler On Main makes this a very easy process. We will be using them again real soon!

We stayed in a newly renovated, nice, clean, spacious, 2 separate bedrooms with separate living area, kitchen, and dining areas. Full size appliances, cooking and eating utensils provided. It felt more like a modern apartment than a hotel room. It was quiet, in an open area, yet convenient for walking the town and to local dining establishments. We were only in town for the one night, on a motorcycle tour, but next time we're gong to stay for several nights, and base our rides out of Tazewell. Rate was reasonable, and Beth was a pleasure to deal with! 👍
