Overall we had a great stay in this house and would stay here again. Very clean, comfortable beds and lots of room in the living area. The location was great and just a short walk to the beach or restaurants. The bedrooms felt a bit small and didn’t have a ton of storage space. The fridge is also small for the amount of people this house holds. We booked this house because it appeared more handicap accessible than others, but the door from the garage to the pool was damaged before we arrived and we could not use it during our stay which was a huge inconvenience. The sides of the house have rock/gravel so it’s difficult getting a walker or wheelchair over them. We also wanted to rent a boat for multiple days and keep it at the dock but were told by the boat rental companies it’s too shallow to keep a boat docked there.

Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing due to the number of maintenance and cleanliness issues we encountered. There were several things that needed attention during our stay, including broken blinds in two rooms, a clogged shower, and a leak in the ceiling. The ice maker in the refrigerator was also not working, and the internet connection was poor.We also found ants on the kitchen counter and around the exterior door, which was concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. Additionally, the trash was already overflowing when we arrived, appearing to have been left behind by the previous guests.Individually, some of these issues may have been minor, but the number of problems we encountered during one stay made it difficult to feel that the home had been properly maintained and prepared for our arrival. Hopefully, the owners/managers will address these issues because the property has potential, but our experience did not meet the expectations we had for the stay.

Hi Rachel, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay at Channelside Paradise. We received an after-hours call on Sunday, August 2nd regarding a water leak in the dining room ceiling and a clogged shower drain. Our technician arrived within an hour and found that the upstairs shower had overflowed, causing water to leak through the floor into the dining area. He cleared the clogged drain, and no active leak was found before he left. We wish we had been notified of the other cleanliness and property issues during your stay, as we would have been happy to address them immediately. Thank you again for your comments.

beautiful house

2nd year on Santa Maria. House was beautiful and close to beach. Family of 15 and enough room for sure. age range 5-73. One suggestion would be to put hooks in all the bathrooms for robes, more than 1 towel, etc. Had a bit of trouble with the water being super hot than cold, hard for littles to shower BUT these were minor and everyone loved their stay. 5 stars for sure!

Channelside or Sapphire Sky

Property changed management companies from when I originally booked property. Did not receive check in codes by 4:00. Ended up calling management company and had difficult time getting correct codes. Had problems getting WIFI password and connected. Finally someone in our group was able to figure out. Management company texted me 24 hours with code for WIFI after we figured it out. Had problems with hot water in bathrooms. When people were taking showers, three minutes of hot water, then freezing cold water for several minutes then MAYBE you might get hot water. They did send 2 gentlemen to fix. Just raised water temps which did help but did not fix the hot water on/hot water off problem. Also no instructions on how to work thermostats controls, electric stove top, and dishwasher. Was a very nice and clean house.

The house was amazing! We get together as a family of 13 every year and this was by far the best we’ve stayed at! 7 bedrooms, each with our own bathroom. Bunk beds for the grandkids. Loved having our private pool. And the location was perfect. Highly recommended!
