Escape to this peaceful lakefront getaway on Lake Hendricks
PEACEFUL LAKEFRONT COTTAGE: Come, relax and create your own memories at this comfortable 3-bedroom, 1 bath lake cottage on beautiful Lake Hendricks. This is a very peaceful setting on a private road with a large lot for family games and outdoor activities. Enjoy the 100 feet of shoreline, great for swimming, fishing, boating and water sports. Includes a dock and paddleboat. A large collection of books are available to read in the comfortable 3 season room. The sunroom also has a dining table for a family dinner of 6-8. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the nature pond on the other side of the cabin. Evenings can be enjoyed around the firepit or inside around the wood burning fireplace. A large paver patio and lounge furniture provided. A beautiful 9-hole golf course is within walking distance with a restaurant in the club house. This is a border lake, so a SD or MN fishing license is valid. Lake Hendricks is located on the west side of Hendricks, MN. The town of Hendricks includes several restaurants, a grocery store, bakery, hardware store, pharmacy, coffee corner, flower shop/boutique, library, churches, hospital and even a small movie theatre. There is a beautiful park in town along the lake with a swimming beach and campground. There are volleyball courts, disc golf and baseball diamonds all located by the park. There are three public boat launches on the lake and as well as a state park. Hendricks has a Fourth of July celebration, activities and parade that you won't want to miss. We are located 30 minutes from Brookings, SD where there are a large variety of activities, Children's Museum, restaurants, SDSU activities and more.

Fun getaway
We had a great stay! The house was perfect for our short get away and the lake view was beautiful. Everything was clean and had all the items needed for our stay. We love golfing so having the course so close by was a big plus. Can’t wait to return for a longer stay!

Very nice lake front property with beautiful views, especially from the sunroom. Enjoyed our family time and was thankful for all the games to spend the chilly, rainy weekend around the table.

Great Holiday Weekend at Lake Hendricks
The property was actually nicer than the pictures! Lots of room for everyone to spread out. The 3 season room was perfect for relaxing!

We absolutely loved this property!!! It reminded me so much of when my grandparents had their own place on the lake and we would stay with them!! My husband loved that he could leave his boat in tied to the dock and beable to just get up and go fishing. Love the view and just the relaxation of sitting on the porch area. Any question I had was quickly answered!

Great place beautiful location. Very comfortable and clean. We did need a booster seat for a toddler and a high chair. Otherwise all the comforts of home were available. Thankful for this nice option in Hendricks.

Right by the water and close to town! Very clean and well maintained. Very nice screened in porch as well!

The cabin was so nice. The view was great. We are dairy farmers, it was under an hour away and my husband was able to go home for chores several times. We enjoyed kayaking several mornings. The screened in porch was so very nice. Downtown Hendricks has a great grocery store, an awesome bakery and several other businesses. We really enjoyed supper at The Shed a few times!

We had a wonderful time at this property! The house was clean and orderly and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed playing lots of family games in the screened in porch (although it did get a little stuffy in the afternoons with the July heat), and the view of the lake was amazing! We also enjoyed games outside on the ample and well cared for yard. The established trees on the lake side provided shade all day long! We also spent a lot of time in the water swimming. The bottom was sandy and weed-free as far as we could walk out, and the depth very gradual. We brought our Maui-mat, which added to the fun. The 4 provided kayaks were much appreciated as well! We also brought 2 kayaks of our own, which allowed for our family of 6 to explore the lake all at once! We made use of the grill, ice machine, and washer/dryer set, which were all really nice amenities to have. The window a/c units ran pretty much the whole time we were there, but kept the house at a comfortable temperature. We did end up buying 2 box fans to help circulate the a/c through the house a bit more during peak heat hours. The beds were adequate, but we all looked forward to sleeping in our own again. Overall, this house and entire property was perfect for our family to spend quality time together and get away from all of life's distractions for a while!

Lake Retreat
The cabin is in a great quiet location. We loved the large flat lot to play yard games. Our favorite space was the 3 season room with the best lake view! The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was very easy to communicate with as well. The golf course was walking distance and the cute little town was a 5 minute drive and had everything we needed. We will definitely book again for a fun week at the lake!

We loved staying here! The home was super cozy. We enjoyed kayaking and hanging out by the fire. The host was super quick at replying to messages. Lots of great food around too :)

We live in Sioux Falls and bought this property nearly 20 years ago when our three kids were young. It is a special place to us where we have created many memories. Our kids and friends learned how to ski and other water sports. We played many yard games and spent a lot of time sharing stories and s'mores around the campfire. Hendricks gave us a taste of small town living, enjoying going downtown for Saturday morning donuts and all of the 4th of July festivities. We now have grandkids and we hope to share this with them too. When we are not here, we would like to share with your family to create memories of your own.
