The Nicolet National Forest surrounds the area, offering endless trails for ATV, UTV, and hiking excursions. Winter enthusiasts will delight in immediate access to local snowmobile trails that stretch for miles. Snowmobile rentals are available on-site for both guests and the public. Cross-country ski trails are also conveniently nearby, while ice fishing enthusiasts only need to take a short walk to reach the lake.
During the summer months, Lac Vieux Desert is renowned for its excellent fishing opportunities. With 150 feet of level sandy beach, both children and the young at heart will enjoy soaking up the sun and playing in the water.
