When you will open the Studio's door, you will see a high ceiling, airy and smartly deisgned room. The beds with the white bed linen and the combination of soft and hard pillows of the company Cocomat, predispose you for an enjoyable sleep. A sofa that becomes a single bed complements the feeling of comfort in the space.

You look at the fully equipped kitchen and you know that you will have everything you need to prepare your meals. The light from the window attracts you and you head to the balcony where you observe that the view of the sea and the natural environment of the area will compensate you to the fullest. You take a deep breath and think that the journey has already begun. Enjoy your stay!

Melina's House is a family run hotel & each of us prioritizes your necessity for calmness and relaxion in paraller with the exploration of our place.

For many years, Antonis & Melina have been welcoming and hosting travelers and friends from all over the world. Building their house in the coastal area of Stalos, just 7 km from the cosmopolitan center of Chania, they decided to create a special place where they will invite people who love travelling & are curious to discover the beauty of the place that they do love too.

Stalos has a sense of neighborhood. Family restaurants with traditional food and the sandy beach is just 5 minutes away on foot. Melina's House is located on the road leading to the village of Panos Stalos, giving you the opportunity to hike or bike easily and explore the area's countryside. The most important is the direct access to the National Road from where you can explore the whole island (Our advices will be useful!!!)

Amazing stay

Andonis & Melina were amazing hosts. Great hospitality. Room was very clean. Ours had a view of the ocean. Perfect size for a couple on vacation.

The best place to stay in Stalos

Melina's House is a perfect place to spend your vacation time in Stalos. The apartments are comfortable, have water views, and feel very much like home. Melina and Antonis are great hosts and are happy to give guests information and supply local knowledge about the area. Restaurants are close by if you prefer not to cook, and a bus comes every half hour to take you to Chania. The walk to the bus and restaurants is only 10 - 15 minutes.

Just perfect

Antoni and hi wife Melinna who has the sweetest smile..were just fantastic hosts. Old style cretan courtesy and hospitality. Great location...Room was well-equipped and clean .best pillows ever..Would go back.You are a 30 second drive to center of Main Strip.

Great hosts, with a comfortable clean Studio in a great location.

Hosts Antonis and Melina were very prompt and thorough in communication, prior to arrival and warmly welcoming on arrival to this exceptionally clean and well presented “Standard Studio”. Antonis and Melina provided maps to the local area which were helpful and Antonis invited us in for a drink but we were busy at the time. Melina’s House is situated on a quiet road away from the main road and close to all the amenities of a holiday resort. The sea was only 300 meters away. The apartment was well appointed with lights, sockets, a great shower room, the fridge was quiet and the oven and stove rings were powerful. The balcony was an excellent size with a great table and view over some colourful Bougainvillea plants with a view of the sea between buildings. The bed was large and had a soft top layer and the TV had BBC news to keep us up to date with the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II with some English speaking films. The use of the washing machine on the top floor was useful for a minimal charge. The flat was next to the front door, but we found no disturbance from the door opening or closing in the time we were there. There are monasteries both inhabited and uninhabited to visit and some great places to walk in the quiet and peaceful countryside, so recommend bringing some walking boots.

Nous avons séjourné une semaine chez Melina et Antonios. Ce sont des personnes charmantes, accueillantes et qui nous ont donné des conseils de visites autour d'un café grec offert.Les petits plus: les cadeaux de bienvenue et le ménage tous les 2 jours (draps et serviettes changés et poubelles vidées).Quartier calme proche de la mer.

Une location propre, calme et très bien située

Location facile à trouver, propre, très bon accueil de la part des propriétaires. Emplacement calme (commerces néanmoins très proches) et idéal pour visiter la région. Je recommande vivement ! ;)

Kreta Urlaub

Nach kleinen anfänglichen Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten, war der Aufenthalt bei Antonios und Melina wirklich schön. Antonios spricht gut english und beiden sind sehr bemüht, gastfreundlich und stets hilfsbereit bei allen Belangen. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist wie beschrieben und die Lage und Anbindung in alle Richtungen( Stadt, Flughafen, Strände) sehr gut. Für einen ersten Urlaub auf Kreta war es ein guter Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Ausflüge. Klare Empfehlung für Paare die keine All In Hotels mögen, für Familien mit Kinder weniger geeignet, da es an einer recht viel befahrenen Straße liegt und wenig Spielfläche vorhanden ist.

Had a nice holiday in Stalos Crete

This property is a 5 minutes walk from the main road to Chania on a very well serviced bus route to Chania. It takes 15 minutes to get to Chania by bus and costs €1.80 per adult. The property is also 5 minutes walk from a good coffee shop, the beach and restaurants. The property was very clean, the location was quite and we has a view of the sea from our balcony. The beds also had good quality mattresses not like the boards you get in some other greek properties. Overall I would recommend this property.

Stalos has a sense of neighborhood.
- Family restaurants with traditional food and airy surroundings to enjoy every meal of the day.

- The sandy beach is just 5 minutes away on foot and you can easily visit it several times a day. We especially recommend taking a dip late in the afternoon waiting for the sunset. It is one of our favorite moments! The protected plant Lily of the Sea or Pancratium maritimum, gives a special beauty at the beach.

- Melina's House is on the road that leads to the village of Panos Stalos and so you have the chance to hike or cycle exploring the countryside as well. Olives, vineyards, family gardens and the natural environment of the area will give another touch to your trip.

- Extremely important is the direct access to the National Road from where you can explore the whole island.

Our family hotel is a living space inside and out. We take care of it as we do with each apartment separately. It is part of our house and our hospitality!

In the surrounding area you will see plants that thrive in the area as well as our small garden with vegetables of the season. The Lemon Tree has an important role in the backyard of the building because it generously offers us the lemons we need for our cooking preparations.

Characteristic is the Herb's Corner that Melina has created on the shared balcony on the first floor. You can smell and see the herbs of our place separately one by one and why not to use whichever you want in your cooking!

The corridor that you follow to head to your apartment is beautifully designed and decorated with photos of special moments and landscapes of our islandn and historical photos as well.

Don't forget to read a book or a magazine from the library that we've been created for years and you can easily find it next to the entrance.

If you need to wash your clothes, there is a washing machine available on common area.
