Great spot for a big family. Can't beat the location or amenities. Private pool, hot tub and sauna. House has a large deck on the Banana River and a short walk to the beach. Our only concern was the outdoor furniture which needs attention.

Beautiful home and location

The property and location was wonderful. Everyone had room to spread out and have their own space. We witnesses two rocket launches during our stay which was an extra treat for the kids.

DO NOT STAY, HOST UNCOMMUNICATIVEUnfortunately, the property was not ready for guests when we arrived. A trailer was parked in the driveway, branches and plants were down throughout the property, and ladders and tools were left out, making it look like landscapers had stopped halfway through the job. The house itself was clean-ish, but there was no toilet paper or paper towels.On our first night, we notified the owner about the condition of the property, the trailer, inadequate AC in part of the house, no hot water, and no WiFi. We were told a property manager would come around noon the next day to address everything, but no one ever showed up. When we followed up, we received no response.Throughout the stay, we called the owner dozens of times and repeatedly messaged through VRBO. We received only four messages total and not a single returned phone call.The landscaping was cleaned up the next day, but we never had WiFi, hot water, or fully functioning AC for the entire trip. Problems can happen with any rental, but the lack of communication and effort to resolve basic issues was extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, we would not stay here again.

Stayed with 6 adults, 6 children, Pool, Hot Tub and dock to fish from kept the kids happy and busy. Excellent home to stay. Great communication with property manager. Very enjoyable

The house is fun…the pool & views are nice. However, some of the outdoor furniture is ripped and unusable. We had problems with 2 of the bathrooms and asked to have them fixed, with no luck. As a result, one of the showers and one of the bathroom sinks was unusable.

Winter family vacation

Very nice house on the Banana river with plenty of room for large families or groups. The hot tub and pool area are very nice and the deck area on the river is a nice place to relax. Communication with the property manager was very good.Beach access is close by as well. We would definitely consider staying here again.

This house had a nice location & great potential, 1 star is too generous for all the problems we had.1. Communication with the host was terrible. They NEVER responded. Not when we called/texted their 24/7 line or when VRBO called them. 2. The condition of the appliances, sauna, furniture, etc was awful. Almost everything was broken. We had a child fall when a chair snapped in half. And a man get seriously hurt when the metal frame of the hammock snapped in half. Thankfully the baby he was holding did not get hurt. 3. The house & yard were dirty. Like filthy dirty. Rusty, broken items were lying around. Trash cans were full of gross trash. Shelves, stove, drawers, cupboards were all sticky and had food crumbs. 4. The pier and yard had no lighting like shown in the pictures and the pier had no railing to keep people safe. The non functioning string lights that had been attached to the posts were all snapped off and the lights were just on the ground.5. The host provided check in instructions and an app; however, the code they told us to use did not work. They did not respond promptly and we had to get VRBO to get ahold of them while 16 of us stood outside after very long days of travel.6. We tried to tidy the house during our stay & the vaccum cleaner was totally clogged. My son spent over an hour unclogging it.7. Most of the bathroom sinks did not drain. My son spent his own money and time fixing them so we could use them. The list goes on. And the host did not care.

The facilities were beautiful, but it was hard to know how to work. Certain things like the spa hitting the pool.And the speaker system outside i wish there was a manual there to refer to. We had to call the owner and it was not easy and some of the questions we had never got answered. It was a beautiful house, beautifully decorated and very spacious.

We had a great stay overall. The location was excellent, and the home was spacious enough for everyone in our group. One of the highlights was being able to watch a rocket launch during our stay. We also really enjoyed spending time in the pool. The beach was a little bit of a walk, but we had it to ourselves every day.There were a couple of things, that while they didn't ruin our vacation, they are worth noting. When we arrived, there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke inside the home. It eventually became less noticeable, but it was quite overwhelming at check-in. If I were the owner or property manager, I would want to know that the grounds around the property could use some attention. There was quite a bit of trash that had blown around in front of the house, branches down around the property, the small strip of grass by the drive was overgrown with piles of leaves by the gates to the back; there was also a pile of old wood and a metal frame in the small driveway as you entered the gate. The patio furniture in front was rusted out and the cushions in the tiki area were torn and in need of replacement. Additionally, the rope around the dock area was down on the ground. The landscaping lights didn't work and were haphazardly on the ground and the flowers in the pots were all dead.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and made some wonderful memories. With a little attention to those issues, this property would be an even better stay.

Labor Day Weekend

My stay in Cocoa Beach was exceptional. The property offered ideal space with stunning water views and a fantastic backyard featuring a pool and summer beach vibes. The entire experience, from booking to commuting and staying, was flawless. Accommodating a group of 10-12 people comfortably for three days, the location was perfect for exploring the town. I highly recommend this spot to anyone planning a trip to Cocoa Beach and can't wait to return!

One for the books!!

The property and amenities did not disappoint! We had all of our children and grandchildren together for the first time and this vacation rental was perfect for the group. Always something to do. The house was well appointed for a family vacation, all of the beds were very comfortable which has not always been our experience on rentals, the information provided by the host was complete and on point, and when we needed assistance, the host was there and quickly followed through. While there we witnessed 5 rocket launches that were all amazing and the bioluminescence was going in the river which was spectacular!! We will definitely stay again!

Family vaca

The house was perfect for our family of 19. We had kids ranging from 3-14 and everyone had a bed. The property was very clean and we were all very comfortable. The location was great. We walked across to the beach and even saw a rocket launch! Kids loved fishing off the dock and the communication with the property management was easy. The only trouble I had was opening the links for the forms we needed to fill out and the guide book. But we figured it out. Definitely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

The home was very big but old. The outdoor area was amazing. Stunning views and beautiful set up. The window in the dining room was broken and had to do a bunch of cleaning ourselves, mostly the outdoor area and furniture wasn’t clean enough to sit on. The jacuzzi had several issues. The host was very responsive to all issues and did the best to accommodate. The night took a turn when the neighbors son jumped the fence, completely drunk and maybe some other substances, he ran out the front door back over to his driveway where he proceeded throwing rocks and soda at some guests. We had to involve police to get him under control. The day was great until that happened. All in all we had a good time but expected more for such an expensive home.

The spa did not heat. The sauna did not work. The dryer did not work and Wifi did not work for 60% of the time. I am expecting a partial refund due to the numerous maintenance issues. Justin, our contact said that would happen.

We enjoyed our stay at the VRBO in Cocoa Beach this past week. The house was beautiful, and it was so nice to be on the Intracoastal with a pool in the backyard and so close to the ocean. The house worked out fairly well for our family.Unfortunately, we also encountered multiple problems while we were there. The outdoor grill had a gas leak, which needed to be shut off and repaired. We needed to organize and facilitate this upon discovering you were out of the country, and we had no other contact person to reach out to but you. Since you did not receive the text my husband sent you on Friday with the repair services and options, we were not able to use it until Monday evening, which affected several of our meals and eating options at additional cost.The crib for our grandson never arrived; instead, it was a pack-n-play, which they had already brought from home. A pack-n-play is way smaller than a crib, and Timmy had to sleep with his mom since he was too big to sleep all night in a pack-n-play. This was not conducive to a good night's sleep for either one of them.Returning home from an outing on Saturday, we were locked out of the house. No one was able to get in to change, nap, or eat until we heard back from Justin with the changed code, discovering only at that time that he was out of the country.Some bathrooms did not have clean towels, and the shower in the downstairs bathroom did not work.The hot tub did not get very hot, and the sauna did not work at all.

We were not provided the correct entry code.Phone request went to voicemail. Request for telephone response was ignored.Upon final entry found the AC in the game room was covered with dirt, and filters were clogged with dirt. Most importantly, that AC unit was totally inoperable. To thier credit, they did dispatch a technician who pronounced the unit dead and came back the next day to replace the unit which took all day. So no use of the game room for one full day.The sauna never worked, although it was reported.The management was requested to have the pool heated upon arrival, which they assured would happen, but didn't. So it took overnight for the pool to be warm enough to use.A shower curtain in one bathroom fell down and couldn't be put up.One of the chairs in the family room was broken.One of the door handles fell of if being used.Chipped glass shower doors were being stored in the den which was to be a bedroom with a convertible sofa.The dishwasher was not secured in its position so opening it was an issue to prevent it from falling forward.

Very disappointing for a luxurious home. Check in process fine. The inside of the house was clean. Gate on property not working. Very limited cooking pans in kitchen. Grill was filthy my husband spent two hours cleaning so we could use. Grease trap was filled so obliviously this was never cleaned. My husband cleaned the pool with a small fish net because no skimmer. Pool deck was filled with tree debris and bird poop. Obviously no one was there prior to our arrival.Cushions on pier torn and dirty. Pier lights not working. TV in game room not working. All issues reported nothing done. Was told response team was working on it. Told the Property Manager would be at home soon, someone stayed at house waiting no PM came. Dryer was not drying my husband had to clean the lint screen filled with lint, fire hazard. Reply from Sunshine Gold Retreats not quick.Called the VRBO number when unable to reach host, explained everything to the gentleman, he tried to reach the host and the host didn’t respond.As compensation for all of our inconveniences they gave us a late check out with no charge.We have rented numerous places through VRBO and we understand that these are rentals and people abuse things but this one was the most disappointing.

We had a good time during the stay with a few exceptions. Our family of fishermen booked this home because of the pictured dock with boat lifts. Unfortunately, the boat lifts were not functional thus, our boat rental was not able to be used. The host said the lifts were not advertised to be used and they were not advertised as being broken either. The pool and hot tub lights and several other outdoor upstairs patio lights were also broke which did hamper some of our nighttime outdoor enjoyment. The house has clearly been enjoyed by others as a window was busted, some doors wouldn't close properly, and the trash bins were overflowing upon our arrival. The host responded quickly to our questions and helped problem solve a wifi outage during the stay. The pool was clean (and really warm this time of year) and kept clean with the twice weekly cleanings. The house overall gave everyone plenty of private space and the layout allowed for noise to not disturb other rooms. The proximity to the beach was great and the location away from the more tourist heavy part of town was nice. I would recommend this home for a vacation as long as you aren't looking to use the boat dock for boating and are okay with very dark nighttime swims.

The house was very nice we had 11 adults and 4 kids . There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and hangout. Two rooms overlooked the beach. The kitchen was well set up with all dishes we needed. The pool was very nice to relax. The beach is about a 5 minute away. The house was beautiful, tvs in all the rooms, lots of blankets and pillows to go around. The dock was nice to sit and have coffee in the morning . Definitely would recommend staying here if you have a large group.
