Mountain Tranquility
This peaceful, non-smoking, fully furnished home, above 3000' elevation, has lots of outdoor spaces. Located 1/2 mile from access to S Fork New River. Our master suite is complete with vintage queen bed, tv and large jetted whirlpool tub/shower. Living area features large screen smart tv, wifi and gas fireplace. Den / reading room with board games and smart tv. Spacious farmhouse kitchen comes with all appliances including dishwasher, toaster, blender, 12 cup drip coffee maker, keurig, crockpot and much more. Complete laundry room with modern front load washer and dryer. Sheets and towels are provided. Beautiful outdoor space includes spacious deck with patio furniture to enjoy privacy and long range mountain views. A gas grill is also provided for cooking that wonderful meal while enjoying the quiet. Behind the house you will find a seating and hammock to enjoy mountain climate. Should you encounter inclement weather, there is also a covered carport with ample parking. Road does NOT require 4 wheel drive. Close to shopping, New River, and Blue Ridge Parkway, West Jefferson and Boone.

We’ve stayed at this property several times and are always pleased. It’s about halfway between Boone and West Jefferson, is so clean, well-equipped, so quiet and peaceful and the hosts, Donald and Karen, are wonderful. We’ll be staying there two more times this fall and are looking forward to it!

This mountain getaway was just delightful - fully stocked with even details we didn’t think of, and decorated so that we felt at home. It is also secluded, yet convenient to the cute little towns surrounding it, as well as many outdoor activities. The hosts were communicative and helpful. We will stay here again if we get the chance!

Lovely spot in the mountains, quiet and beautiful sunrise view. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of light from windows. Very spacious.

We stayed here while moving our daughter into App. State. It was a nice quiet place to retreat after all stress and hectic running around. The house was clean and well equipped. Plemty of cozy blankets to coddle with while relaxing. Don't trust GPS the directions given by the owner were much better. Ate dinner at The Mountaineer Tavern and it was amazing.

We stayed here for Merlefest 2026. We didn't spend a lot of time at the rental place, but wished we could, it was a comfortable house, convenient to the festival.

We had another wonderful stay at this mountain retreat! It was just as clean, cozy, and relaxing as we remembered. The space makes it easy to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It truly feels like a home away from home. This was our second visit, and it definitely won’t be our last!

Wonderful home with warmth, comfort and nice mountain views The home was immaculately clean and the hosts were engaging and made themselves available. Easy access and a lot of good information available in the info binder. Highly recommend this place for a mountain stay.
