Luxury, generously spacious, and fully private apartment with two bedrooms and an attached full private bathroom. Ultra Luxury in University City. New Renovation. One bedroom is on the basement floor with a low ceiling of 6.5 feet. Private walk-out patio with benches and table. Free street parking. Ideals for couples and small groups or families.

Walking distance to Penn and Drexel. Great for long-term stays, too, or a weekend getaway. Pets are welcome for a small fee. Street parking is free, and ample parking is in the safe neighborhood, which is full of restaurants, groceries, etc. Young University Crowd.

Unfortunately this space didn’t work for us. I am not indicating that it was the host fault but the street parking was just not what we anticipated. May need to indicate that it is street parking, as available. Also the lack of communication leading up to the stay was very frustrating and meant I was reaching out and seeking information more than I ever have before

The worst VRBO experience i’ve ever had

Me and a friend travelled with my dog 4 hours to stay at this VRBO listing. We arrive at the apartment, wait for 40 minutes for the manager to let us in and find out there were people occupying the unit we had rented. The manager called the owner and found out he had double booked the room for the night leaving us without a place to stay. He argued with me on the phone for several minutes about the situation, that quite frankly was not my fault. He should be more aware of his schedule and considerate of his customers time. He offered to put us in a hotel and pay for it but he would not pay my pet fee or my parking or anything additional for my wasted time. We arrive at the hotel 20 minutes away, and they have no card on file for the room. Therefore he DID NOT pre pay. So then I had to pay for the entirety of the hotel with my card. He wanted to argue with me and the front desk manager. He promised 15 parking at the hotel and there was nowhere nearby with less than 50 parking. I booked this VRBO because I was traveling in the city for an event with my friend and my dog. This VRBO allowed pets and had privacy for my dog. I booked accordingly due to my situation. Having being FORCED to stay in a hotel due to this hosts lack of organization and unprofessional demeanor it was very stressful for me and my pet. She does not do well in those scenarios. I was late to my event that I came to the city for and overall treated very poorly. And he refuses to refund me in full!!!!!

Nice place overall

We enjoyed our stay and, overall it was nice. There are just a few things it still needs to get 5 stars.The apartment was clean, except that the sofa is quite stained and there was a disposable contact lens stuck to the coffee table that the cleaning people had missed. There were two bath towels when we arrived, but we had to root around in the basement for a hand towel for the bathroom and a kitchen towel. There was soap on the sink, but not in the shower. There were plenty of plates and cutlery for eating, but no wine glasses. There were only 2 of us, so this didn't matter for us, but I am dubious that 3 or 4 people would fit comfortably.On the more positive side, the a/c in both the kitchen and bedroom worked well in 90 degree weather. In our three day stay, we always found parking right outside on the street. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was big (plenty of closet space, no drawers or bedside tables). Communication with the host was seamless. We had no problems with the wifi.

Adequate for not spending much time there

The space worked for us, but was a typical short-term rental: a little sterile, would be hard to live in, with some quirks. The house is the only painted and gentrified-looking one on the block. Our key was left in the apartment door when we checked in, which I didn't love. There should probably be a lock box. There's a beehive in the backyard that needs to be taken care of, and there was so much pollen on the ground. I wish there had been a broom. There was very limited seating in the place and no soap in the bathroom. The Wi-Fi was finicky and had to be turned off and on to work. There's a fancy tablet on the table but it was making an error beep the entire time. The AC in the room was great but the rest of the place was pretty hot. The basement is a little creepy. It worked for us though as we weren't spending much time there.

Relaxing quiet get away

Cozy little city nook located in University City, South West Philadelphia. Near Universities, police station, hospitals, restaurants, a supermarket and so on, very convenient location. Plenty of sleeping areas, comfy beds, Powerful showers and air conditioners. Cute deck. Quiet neighbors. Near public transportation. Truly enjoyed our stay.
