Close to West Gate of Yellowstone with easy access to the various sites. The house is comfortable for a large group.

Bill was wonderful to work with. As far as making it easy for us to reserve our place to stay, have a great discussion with Bill to understand what to expect after a long day of travel. The word work in the kitchen was very beautiful and well done. And built by Bill. The bedframes were also beautiful and built by Billl. A great family experience.

The property was wonderful. It was located in proximity to everything we wanted to experience and gave us a quiet reprieve at the end of each day! The host is phenomenal as well! We woke up one morning to no water due to an electrical hiccup. Within an hour of my messaging, he was there trying to work through it, and by the time we returned that evening, an electrician had been out to locate and correct the issue. Truly wonderful experience all around!

Great place to stay for West Yellowstone! Five adults and two kids had plenty of room, hot water, and peace&quiet. Kitchen was fully equipped and dining table is large enough for an even larger group. Kids had fun playing foosball and relaxing in their big room. Just a few miles from town and the park entrance, the scenery is so beautiful I didn't notice the drive (but watch out for speed limit changes lol). Wish we had a few more days to spend there!

This house easily accommodated a group of 7. There was ample room to spread out and it was well equipped with everything we needed. The location is quiet, yet, convenient to West Yellowstone and the park. We would stay here again.

It was a nice place. It was convenient to the places we visited. The common area was great for hanging out. There was a problem with the smoke detector and the host fixed it promptly. The kitchen was reasonably stocked. There were plenty bath towels. The beds were comfortable. The individual heat in each room. Some of the dishes and cooking pots weren't clean. A deep clean would have been good. We really enjoyed staying in the house. The house was in a peaceful area.

When we arrived, the welcome mat looked perfect—for about 30 years ago. We entered the dark foyer, grateful for our headlamps. Cobwebs hung gracefully from the light fixtures. My son-in-law’s pillow appeared washed, though it looked like it had recently worked as a mechanic’s oil-change rag. The trim around the front door was missing, perhaps in preparation for more insulation if needed. The deadbolt was secured with gray duct tape; brown might have been more elegant. The broken picture window was held together with clear shipping tape. Very reassuring. We also met the resident mouse under the dishwasher. He was shy, polite, and probably the cleanest occupant. The washing machine broke. My incredible wife fixed it in 20 minutes. The second time, it locked our clothes inside. Three moms, myself, and 20 minutes of Google research eventually freed them. The walls badly needed paint. We contacted VRBO and the host. To his credit, he offered a nicer property, but our family was settled and spending nearly all our time in Yellowstone, so we stayed. He did let us use the laundry there. We minimized our time at the house and maximized our time in the park. Eventually, even Yellowstone’s geyser smells became refreshing. If you want duct-tape construction, surprise wildlife, vintage décor, and a washing-machine escape room, this may be your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

Hi Craig, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and I am glad you were able to maximize your time enjoying Yellowstone. We take great pride in our properties, which is why when you contacted us on your second day regarding the wall scratches, we immediately offered you a free upgrade to our larger, premium cabin next door. You chose to decline this offer and remain in the original cabin. Regarding the specific maintenance items you mentioned: Recent Upgrades: The front door and deadbolt were recently replaced, and the finishing trim is actively being completed. The Window: The glass was unfortunately damaged by a previous guest and a custom replacement is currently on order. Unreported Issues: We were unaware of any issues with the washing machine or a mouse. Because I live just down the street and keep my direct phone number on the refrigerator, we could have resolved these issues or assisted with your laundry immediately had you simply notified us. As a rural property near the park, we do our best to manage nature, but we always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can make things right in real-time. We had a great time at the cabin! It was a great location for visiting Yellowstone. It was very clean and lots of room for our group of 10, it was nice to have a room for all the kids to stay in together!
