Fantastic location! Property is right on the water and there are restaurants & grocery stores nearby. The house has great space and we were all comfortable. Johnny (our host) was exceptional! Good water pressure in the showers & the beds were all comfy.

Very nice stay and great location on the lake for our golf trip at Firestone CC. Our host was extremely helpful with parking and very communicative to our needs. We only wish we could have had more time to enjoy the best part of the property - outdoor decks and many seating levels on the water. Pat

The lake house was beautifully decorated, and even more spacious than the pictures could indicate. Perfectly sized kitchen, dining area, living room and deck to space on the main level to accommodate all for eatting and gathering together indoors. So many beautiful views of the lake from all the windows and levels of the house. Comfortable bedrooms to accommodate all, and plenty of bathrooms as well. The extra kitsch space in the lower level was perfect to help store food and beverages as well. Amazingly beautiful water frontage and dock space for sunning, sunsets, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and docking a pontoon boat. Additionally, multiple other outdoor levels off the back facing the water for eatting, gathering and a fire pit area!

Cute little cottage on Portage Lake

Came for a short visit for our sons graduation. The owner of the property was very nice and very responsive to any questions.

Great property

This was a great location and such a pretty view on the lake. We booked this for my groom and groomsmen and they absolutely loved it! Will definitely book again!

This is a great house for a large group. There were plenty of places to sleep. Great outdoor space. We did have a few minor issues that the host handled right away. Very cozy gathering places. Lots of blankets. We were there in Oct. I’m sure it would be amazing in the summer.

Great place for our get together

We all met up and stayed here (about 12 of us) and it was perfect! We spent lots of time on the dock, and on the back patio area, we were able to dock our boat which was a huge bonus. We loved living lakeside for the weekend. The property manager was very easy to reach, and very responsive with questions. overall great location and great house

Quiet and Relaxing

We had an awesome stay at this property. Even got the opportunity to do some fishing right off the dock with the pole provided On property. Caught two bluegill and missed out a big crappie! All bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

Overall nice property with easy access to the lake and beautiful views. But we ran into many problems. Some of the problems the host did attempt to address, but that then led to multiple workers at the house for hours during our stay. One problem was not fully addressed, and one was somewhat out of the host's control. Host was available quickly to discuss any problems, but it did impact our stay due to the inconveniences we were faced with. If the problems were to be addressed, then this would be a wonderful place to stay.

We stayed with family during June 2026. We had a total of 8 people stay comfortably. The house has (as shown in the pictures) beautiful views and a multi level deck. Having two kitchens and two refrigerators is nice. The downstairs ceiling is low and you can hit your head if you are over 6’1”. The bedroom downstairs is cool(temperature) and having a full bathroom down there is nice. The dishwasher did not work when we were there, but the owner is aware and reports that it was fixed after we checked out (but before I got a chance to write the review). The full bathroom with shower worked well on the first floorThere are three upstairs bedrooms with a full bathroom. The shower on the top level leaked when we were there(but the owners have reported that it has been fixed after we checked out). I would recommend bringing a portable fan for anyone staying in the bunk bedroom. All the rooms had portable air-conditioning towers but the bunk bedroom air circulation was poor - so a fan should make that nicer.All the mattresses are very soft foam. FYI, if you like your mattress firmer.Blackstone Grill worked great and we used the flotation devices in the lake.Communication was excellent save for one VRBO app glitch, which didn’t forward the messages to him right away. I suggest if you’re not getting a response to message him again- I did eventually obtain his cell phone to facilitate more expedient communication.Overall I would stay here again with the changes made!

Hi John! It was so great to host your group! We are glad you enjoyed the home and the lakefront views. Thank you for letting us know about the shower and dishwasher. We’re sorry for the inconvenience during your stay. Both items have now been fixed. The dishwasher had glass and other debris in the pump, which has been cleared. For the shower, the way the shower head was installed caused it to hit the door and slowly leak down to the floor below. We adjusted the angle and installed a new shower head to prevent that from happening again. We also appreciate your feedback on the bunk room. Based on your recommendation, we are ordering a fan for that room. We will also look at mixing in a few firmer mattresses the next time they are replaced. Not off season house

Smaller than anticipated. Master is in the basement, if you’re 6 foot or over you will be very uncomfortable down there. Price was pretty steep for offseason. Older house with low insulation you can hear every step, cough or sneeze from all 3 stories. One of the showers wasn’t attached to wall. House was clean but for 1500 plus for a weekend away in offseason we definitely expected more.

Our listing photos and description clearly outline the layout of the house, including the master suite in the lower level, which many guests enjoy for its privacy and comfort. Regarding pricing, our rates reflect the size of the home (3 stories with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms) and its prime location, even during the off-season. Most of our guests find the home spacious, clean, and well worth the value, as reflected in our many positive reviews. We also regularly maintain the property, including the shower you mentioned, which was fully functional during your stay. Charles unfortunately never got to stay at our property because our rental permit was revoked a few days prior due to a neighbor dispute on guests parking outside of our designated property parking spaces. I am not sure why he was able to leave a poor review but we sincerely apologize we were unable to host his group. We ended up getting our permit reinstated
