WINTER GUESTS: THE ROAD TO HOUSE IS REASONABLY WELL-MAINTAINED INCLUDING PERIODIC SNOW PLOWS AND GRAVEL, BUT IT IS A STEEP ROAD WITH CURVES, AND THE PLOWS DO NOT GO EVERY DAY, SO THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THE ROAD IS COVERED IN SEVERAL INCHES OF FRESH SNOW. A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE IS MANDATORY, AND STUDDED TIRES ARE RECOMMENDED.

Whitefish Lake Golf Club is less than a 10 minute drive and boasts 36 holes with fabulous mountain and lake views. Golf Digest has rated both courses in the top five for all courses in Montana. The restaurant at the golf course is rated one of the best in the Valley. Whitefish Lake Ski Resort is just a 25 minute drive with a myriad of different activities to choose from both summer and winter. Mountain biking, zip line tours, aerial adventure park, an alpine slide and hiking are just a few of the summer activities you can try. For skiers, it's called Big Mountain for a reason covering 3,000 acres and 105 marked trails with vast amounts of bowl and tree skiing. Glacier National Park is only an hour drive away. Massive glacial action began the forming of the mountains of this park 170 million years ago.
