Chalet Domaine de la Grande Ourse is THE place to watch the perseids & the Milky Way. The village of Notre-Dame-des-Bois control the lighting to make sure the sky & the gorgeous stars will always be visible.

Our log cabin boasts 3 living rooms, 2 dining areas (one 3 season) 5 closed, bedrooms, 2 ensuite. ( 1 bedroom can lock a door and have private access to a WC) built on 3 floors. We offer a 25’ of deck overlooking the Mégantic valley, fireplace, fire pit and hot tub. Our beautiful cabin can host up to 14 people and is perfect for a family or a friend getaway.

PETS
One small dog per booking might be allowed. We will ask for more details about your dog (size) before approving. A $500 security deposit will be ask as well as a $120 extra cleaning fee + fees.


⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE
Our chalet is located in a new area, the roads are therefore not yet paved. We strongly recommend you to come with a 4WD car and winter tires during winter and spring although the roads and the parking lot of our chalet are professionally plowed.

⚠️ Due to the natural, wooded environment in which the chalet is located, power outages may occasionally occur, although this remains rare. These interruptions are beyond our control, and we cannot, unfortunately, be held responsible for them.

The outside garage is not available for guests.

*LATE CHECKOUT*
Depending on our booking calendar, a late checkout may be available for an additional $100 fee plus taxes.

This option is available upon request and subject to availability. It must also be determined at the time of booking. Late checkout is not offered during the peak summer season, the holiday season, or spring break.

*BBQ*
From May 1st-Oct 15th

*FIREPLACE*
There is a wood fireplace at your disposal, you have to bring your own wood. Also, you must bring your own kindling and/or paper to facilitate starting.

*OUTSIDE FIRE PIT*
The fire pit is available from May 1st to November 15th. NO EXCEPTIONS

*AIR CONDITIONING*
Please note that the chalet is not equipped with air conditioning.

*BATHROOMS*
Please do not dispose of baby wipes, condoms, tampons, or any similar items in the toilet, as they can block the septic system and cause serious malfunctions. Improper use may result in a $1500 damage fee. Trash bins are provided in each bathroom for proper disposal.

**Please note that you may see small insects during your stay, when seasons are changing, because our chalet is located in a rural environment and it is impossible for us to control all the wildlife that surrounds it**

**If you choose to proceed with a cancellation, our policy will apply. Please note that a 4.5% administration fee of the total reservation amount will be retained.

2. Check-in is possible any time after 4:00 p.m. Checkout is before 11H00AM. It is really important to respect that schedule in order to avoid extra fees. LATE CHECKOUT Option : Depending on our booking calendar, a late checkout may be available for an additional $100 fee plus taxes.

This option is available upon request and subject to availability. It must also be determined at the time of booking. Late checkout is not offered during the peak summer season, the holiday season, or spring break.

3. It is strictly forbidden to smoke cigarettes, weed or to vape in the chalet. A $500 extra fee might be applied if you do.

4. One small dog per booking might be allowed. We will ask for more details about your dog (size) before approving. A $500 security deposit will be ask as well as a $120 extra cleaning fee + fees.

5. Party and excessive noise outside the chalet are not permitted. Failure to comply with this rule will result in a $500 penalty and immediate expulsion without refund. We have noise aware excessive noise detection systems inside and outside the cottage.

6. If the chalet is left in a messy or disorderly condition, additional cleaning fees will apply. Any type of waste or bodily excrement (animal or human) found inside or outside the chalet will be charged at a rate of $60 per occurrence. Excrement includes, but is not limited to, urine, feces, vomit, or any similar substances.

At the end of the stay, the spa water must be as clean as it was upon arrival. An additional fee will apply for any late checkout between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., as this delays the work of our cleaning team. Any guest still on the premises after 1:00 p.m. will be charged for an additional night.

7. Guests assume full responsibility for any accident, injury or illness occurring in the cottage. By accepting this booking, it is agreed that all guests expressly assume the risk of any damage arising from their use of the premises. Customers acknowledge that they may personally purchase insurance to protect against such occurrences.

8. If you notice anything that presents a danger that could cause damage to the place or to people, let us know immediately.

9. Please note that there are security cameras pointing the parking. It is forbidden to move the angle of the cameras or to disconnect them, this act will be judged as an attempt to hide important elements from the owner and therefore, will immediately end the rental without refund.

10. If any personal belongings are left behind when you check out, a handling fee of $75 plus taxes are applicable.

11. When you make a reservation with us you agree to all of the above house rules.
