Location is very private with lots areas to explore. Endless amount of trails to hike bike etc. Alex even stopped in to make sure we had everything we needed. Frederick has everything you need also as to food entertainment etc just a short distance away. We stayed for a event in Frederick so didn't have enough time to explore the area as much as would of liked. Highly recommend.

Spotless clean. Great communication. Peaceful surrounds. Loved the trails and fire pit. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable queen bed. We would definitely rent again!

We were in Frederick for a wedding and wanted a place we could stay with our family rather than staying in a hotel. Location and value was perfect for what we needed. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with everything you would need, especially if you forgot anything. Communication with the host was very good. Any questions were immediately answered. My only issue was having to walk thru main bathroom to get to one of the bedrooms, but it worked for the short time we were there.

The house and property were beautiful… Clean and comfortable! It was stocked with everything we could’ve needed. Renting this home truly made our stay so much more enjoyable compared to experiences else where.

We wanted to stay somewhere pretty in this area for a few days, and Basecamp Frederick delivered. Smooth process from start to finish, very comfortable, zero issues to distract from our trip!

Alex and Chris have created the absolute perfect outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. I am a road cyclist who has climbed Hamburg multiple times (and drooled over Basecamp Frederick from the outside just as many). Drooling over it from the inside did not disappoint. Kitchen, microwave, stove and oven mean renters have everything they need to prepare tasty post-activity meals and fuel up for their next epic. The location at the bottom of Hamburg climb allows for a mild downhill into the valley to warm up and then presents a welcome finish after a day’s worth of climbing (ride past Basecamp Frederick for a great warm down and then the lodge is perfectly positioned so no extra work is required to ride back “up” to the Lodge). Comfy beds, modern washer and dryer, shower with great water pressure!!! Very responsive hosts who are outdoors people themselves and will tell you everything you need to know to make your own adventure epic! Will rent again and would recommend anyone who wants to experience the outdoors that Frederick Municipal Forest/Gambrill Park has to offer to give this rental a try! 10/10!

Relaxing Long Weekend

We had a great time! Property had everything we needed and more - lots of extra towels and blankets, fully stocked kitchen, ample outdoor space and even snacks and drinks! Thank you so much! We would definitely stay at this property again.

Lovely spot to sit and relax inside and out. Clean and spacious. Also great spot if you like to get on a trail in the woods. Friendly area. Many pedal bike enthusiasts we saw pedal by as we sat out in the evening. Our host Alex was generous and kind. She provided a welcome hello, let us know she was nearby if needed, but in no way intrusive. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just far enough out of the city proper, but close enough for a drive in to downtown Frederick to enjoy what it had to offer. A tip. If go into Frederick downtown stop by the visitor center first. Informative and there was 3 hour parking validation for no cost.

The place was a fascinating upgrade from an original log ca bin, still exposed in the interior hallway. Kitchen was stocked well for eatti g in and pantry items snacks and seltzers etc were generously available. Nothing says cozy like karge fluffy towels and bath rugs and once again, generous amenities if we forgot some need. Los of great spaces for enjoying family. We cant wait to come back.
