ARTIST RETREAT - OTTY LAKE, 15 minutes to Historic Perth, Ontario. Artist-designed cottage/home with two bedrooms overhanging this beautiful spring-fed lake, facing south. Be surrounded by Objects D'art, many of which are produced by the owner. Screened-in porch off the master bedroom.

WINTER Access - 2 km well maintained private cottage road. AWD vehical recommended

The Cottage was designed in 1983 by the present owner, Artist Gregori Robinson. Gregori is best know for his commissioned work in Stained Glass.

The host welcomed us when we arrived. The place was very cozy - a good place to get away if you’re looking for an unplugged retreat.

The Otty Lake Artist Retreat is fully equipped with internet and wifi. There was no request for the password.

Gregory is an amazing host and human being. Super kind and down to earth. The cottage is fantastic, a charming rustic vibe with out of this world views. I particularly enjoyed the second patio from the master bedroom as it was netted off and perfect for my cats to hang out in while also with me. All windows and views from the cottage even from the washroom point to the lake! I felt like I was in an art museum as the cottage decor is meticulously planed and I honestly can’t believe how lucky we were to find this gem of a cottage. Thanks Gregory, really appreciate all your cottage had to offer for our long weekend getaway. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Perfect getaway

We had a very relaxing week at this quiet, lovely cottage. The views from both decks are gorgeous; we loved watching the sun rise over the lake. The cottage has everything we needed and is minutes from Perth. We would recommend it.

we were given a tour of the beautiful house. the master bedroom was private from the rest of the house with its own sink and "closet toilet" was what my grandson called it! out of the mouth of a 4yr old perfect. with its own screened in porch my special morning space with my coffee.

Amazing spot

Had a wonderful relaxing time in this lovely cottage. Gregory is a master stained glass artist and his works fill his home with such character. It was a wonderful place to unwind and spend time on the water. It exceeded my expectations.

Memorable Lakefront Property

Gorgeous views at lakefront cottage. Has everything you need to enjoy a quiet retreat by the lake. Gravel road leads to retreat. Comfy beds, good supply of mugs and dishes. Great location for hiking. Close to Murphy's Point Provincial Park and Perth Wildlife Reserve, as well as the City of Perth. Had a wonderful 3 night stay!

Very pleasant stay

We enjoyed swimming and canoeing, and relaxing on either of the two balconies overlooking the lake. Late risers might like to bring eye shades for the early morning sun streaming in to the bedroom. Greg was quick to help us with any questions.

Needs cleaning

It was a lovely spot, however it needed a really good cleaning and there was too much personal stuff of the owner.

It is true that things slipped a bit this summer. I was in the hospital for 10 days with a life threatening illness and now back in full form as testified by the last two guest reviews.

Nature and beautiful artistic property

Spectacular verandas and wonderful views of lake. Lake water is very clean but swimmers should be aware of weeds around dock. Stairs were an issue for one member.of our duo, so she couldn’t get to the dock, sadly. Cottage could use a deep clean, ie shower, fridge, cutlery drawers, but beds, linens were clean. Otherwise, highly recommend this place, for adults.

Summer getaway

Loved the cottage. Loved all the art. Loved being right on the water - plus two balconies and a dock to look out at the water. I suggest bringing bug spray. Very buggy at night, but that's what you get when you stay in the middle of the woods on a lake. One of the balconies is screened in, which is nice. I also recommend bringing bubble bath to use in the clawfoot bathtub. There was some discrepancy with the pricing - the page said the additional guest fee is $20 and the pet fee is $10, but when I paid, it was $60 for the additional guest and $30 for the pet fee.
