The accommodations were great. And dealing with the host was fantastic. We had travel troubles and needed one more day and they were extremely accommodating.

This rental was... fine for the week we stayed in Reykjavik. We were a group of 4, and very much lacked any surfaces or storage areas to set anything down or unpack for the week. This place is *small*, and I can guarantee that if you're a 4 person group, you will feel the tight quarters.The listing also doesn't lie when it says this is downtown/"city center". The unit is a semi-basement, so directly outside every bedroom window, at eye level, is a busy sidewalk only 2-3 feet (1 meter) away. Not counting the late-night sidewalk hoots, hollers, and yells, there are also other short-stay renters upstairs. Sound travels, and your mileage may vary for late night chair scooting, footsteps, bonks, drops, voices, etc.And then there's the price. At 400-500 USD (50k-63k ISK) per night, I cannot recommend this unit. We visited late June, so maybe it's cheaper other times of year? But for me, this just isn't it. It's way too expensive to be in a pricy, cramped space while tourists walk on top of you 24/7, every single day. I don't think the listing was deceptive, I just think it's way too expensive, tiny, and noisy to recommend.

Great location, accurate photos, nice bedding, and easy to communicate with host. We were always able to find parking, but sometimes had to walk a block or so. Would stay again.
