It was 4th of July weekend and we planned this trip only 6 weeks ago, so we knew we would pay up for unite. We needed three rooms for ourselves and our adult children. The property was fine, but we learned the hard way that this location is popular for weddings and younger families. In the evening the bar area was super crowded with kids and then later with the after wedding parties.The staff was generally friendly and on top of things, but the families would leave a mess everywhere they had been, so they didn’t have enough staff to clean up common areas in my opinion. The cleaning staff did a good job keeping up with all the mess of rooms they had to deal with.The resort itself is well located and an easy walk to Newport. I thought the resort fee being added after the fact seemed silly as we paid a ton up front. It should have just been included. It that may be just how they do it. Like any resort, there always seem to be crazy fees for simple things. Iced tea wasn’t included in the breakfast buffet, so they had to charge me. Oh well.I would not go back, as it wasn’t a fit for us, but if you have a young family and don’t mind that it can be crazy busy then give it a go.
