The property is wonderful! The view is great! The Internet never worked and the message we got from host didn’t help. There is a new construction going on next door and banging and hammering starts at 8 am. We were not informed of this ahead of time.

The location is beautiful. House was nice, However, fireplace did not work. Could not locate details as to how to unlock the hot tub for use. The hot tub needed filter replaced. No hand soap in the kitchen, one roll of paper towels for a 3 day stay, The screen doors on the second level could not be moved and ended up falling off.

This home and property were one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed. The home is just as described. The open kitchen out onto the second deck is wonderful for dinners and conversation. Our stay was just outstanding! I would definitely go back 100%.

We loved our stay at Grindstone Cowboy ! Amazing views, ample space for everything. Ready with all things we needed. Close to Ruidoso town and Inn of the mountain Gods where we did zip line over the lake.Great entertainment for family with the pool table, jacuzzi and a big table for board games. We will definitely come back!

The view is amazing and having the outdoor furniture made it really comfy. The kitchen was awesome and there was so much space for everyone to hangout.

Family Escape

Our family had a fabulous time at this beautiful spacious home. Enough room for everyone to eat and lounge together is a major plus. Comfy beds and quick responses when inquiries were sent. I'd book it again in a heartbeat, the views alone were a great way to start the day

House was excellent. Nicely furnished inside and out, tastefully decorated, and the view of the lake and mountains from the upper deck and the upper living area was awesome. Outside furniture on the deck was super comfortable, not plastic adirondacks that you see in some of the rentals. Going to mention a couple of things that do not take away from my five star rating nor our overall enjoyment of the stay, but that might help for future rentals. The master bedroom on the main(upper) level has a closet in it that is locked, therefore leaving no closet space and no place for hanging clothes. We ended up hanging our clothes on the hand rail leading to the lower level. 2ndly, the same master bedroom strangely had no lamps on the bedside night stand and there was only one nightstand on one side of the king bed. Because we like to read in bed before we fall asleep, we improvised a second night stand and bought two cheap lamps from the local dollar store. Again, just ideas for the owners/managers to make it even better; this was one of our favorite rentals and stays anywhere, and would recommend it highly.

The house was beautiful! It was very spacious and we loved the view from every angle. The home is pet friendly which is one of the main reasons we booked. It was cleaned so well that you would never know that pets were allowed. We enjoyed sightseeing and shopping during the day and at night the hot tub was very relaxing. One thing that scared the absolute day lights out of us the first time we heard it was the emergency radio! It is loud but also a great warning system. This is not a complaint at all just a funny don't let it scare you too. We were traveling as a family with our 2 grown children and one younger child plus out mini dachshunds. The only thing I wish they would have had was a useable vacuum and a mop for spills or to clean then entry when coming in from outside since it was quite dusty. I just like to keep a clean space. Overall, the house was lovely we enjoyed our stay and would most definitely recommend or stay again.

This was an absolute must stay everything was as pictured the Cabin was immaculate and clean(the pictures do it no justice) we will definitely be staying again. The Neighborhood was very quit and private the views on bot levels were beautiful. They were well equipped with plate and spices all kitchen good made for a lovely stay.
