Relaxing Hush Puppy Cottage Retreat at the Lake Edge Cottages!

This cottage provides both shade and sun on the water’s edge for lounging, reading and watching the boats go by on Katchewanooka Lake. Rock yourself to sleep in the hammock under the shady pines to the sound of the lapping water in summer or soak up the lake-scape and fireplace inside on cooler days. What a view! Perfect for singles or couples.

People still love the outdoors during the cold weather months. Come enjoy hot chocolate with a bonfire under the stars and feel the adventure while hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing on the property or nearby. Indoors, you can cozy up to the fireplace in our all-season cottages and watch a movie from your preferred streaming service. We also have 4 private hot tubs at certain accommodations throughout the year, so you can enjoy a comforting soak under the stars.

Cottage was cozy, comfortable and clean. Property was a good size with a small dock for two to sit and enjoy the beautiful views. We brought two puppies and they enjoyed the area and water. The trails were great, we walked them twice each day and the scenery was beautiful. We had a chance to talk to Steve, who was great to share about the trails and dog friendly places in the area for outdoor activities and eating. We enjoyed our time, and would be happy to go back!

Having both grown up in small Ontario communities, we met at Wilfrid Laurier University in 1988. Later, we moved to Toronto where we developed our corporate career/life while raising three children: Stephanie, Tyler, and Jakob.

As a family, we spent 18 summers camping with a tent trailer and exploring the great outdoors, charming towns, and a variety of fascinating wildlife from coast to coast with our children.

Our love of the great outdoors led us to acquire Lake Edge Cottages in 2019. We feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to host over 300 families each year at our beautiful vacation destination.
