Immaculate Cottage-EV charger-4 mins walk downtown-extended stays welcome

Thank you for taking time to review your lodging experience. Marline and I take pride in every controllable element of the cottage. Originally decorated by a professional Interior Designer, we carry on that level of sophistication with every replacement or upgrade. Over the years all of the appliances (except the refrigerator) have be replaced with upgrades. An example of newer, better is the super quiet Bosh dishwasher. The sleeper sofa was also replaced with a newer unit with a gel, memory foam mattress. Even the cabinets have been repainted. All of these investments of time and money ensure the cottage continues to "live" like it is a new property. We also focus a great deal of attention on the outdoor furnishing and gardens. Just last week we planted over 300 additional bulbs on "Daffodil Hill". Should be an even more impressive show of color next Spring!

Thanks for your review. I chuckled when I read your comment about the…”Best thick, fluffy towels…”. After laundering the towels you used, I actually took several out of service and replaced them with new because I didn’t think the old ones were fluffy enough. I also switched out a couple of existing pillows for new. Marline and I really do strive to provide an immaculate, fresh lodging environment. Do hope you will return soon DonP

When we created the upscale cottage we enlisted the help of an interior designer and over the years, maintained the vibe while upgrading furnishings and appliances. We also upgraded major systems including the Level II EV charging station and mini-split air conditioning and heating system. Marline and I always enjoy detailed reviews like this one. Cleanliness and well provisioned guest lodging are a couple of our MUST provide benchmarks. While we cannot predict the weather, we do try to prepare for whatever presents. The HEPA air filtration unit is actually operated year around and we have replacement filters readily available. Do hope you will visit again, Fall is a great time for hiking and cyclying in the mountains and high desert.

We cannot guarantee guests will see deer and quail in the gardens,but the likelyhood is high. Over he years of hosting, Marline and I have strove to equip the cottage with nearly everything one would have in their home. Thank you again for your business and taking great care of the cottage. DonP

Thank you for mentioning the neighborhood being quiet. While the cottage is only a 4-5 minute walk to the bussel of downtown, it is situated in one of the most prestigeous neighborhoods. Extremely well kept luxury homes make up most of the 'hood surrounding the cottage.

Thank you for the detailed and wonderful review. I am glad you mentioned the peaceful and "stunniung" gardens. Marline and I invest many hours a week to keep everything fresh and manicured (and that is a challenge with frequent deer visiting). Thanks for the review. We do try to make the Cottage a "home" for our extended stay guests too. Whether staying for a few nights or several months, just about all anyone needs to bring is their toys, clothes, and personal care items.

Thank you for the nice comments. With downtown Bend only a 4-5 minute walk from the Cottage, it’s location is hard to beat, especially when one takes into account the seclusion and quite hideaway location
