El Rancho Pequeño, peace and quiet on the riverEl Rancho Pequeño outside Jelm was exactly what we needed. It sits right on the river, and mornings were something else, with the sun hitting those gold hills and the water so still it looked like a mirror. We sat on the porch with coffee and watched the cottonwoods and the old buck-rail fence light up at dusk. It was quiet, private, and about as far from the everyday grind as you can get. If you want real Wyoming without the crowds, El Rancho Pequeño is the spot. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

Perfect Getaway

We had an AMAZING time at El Ranch Pequeno. The scenery was beautiful and the ranch had all the privacy you'd want. Leslie was such a fantastic host and we can't wait to get back!

Great stay at this rustic spot. We hiked along the river. Fished and spent time playing games inside on the rainy days.

Great place. Beautiful surroundings and views. Rustic but comfortable accommodations. Well stocked with plenty of wood for the fire places. Fish in the stream right outside the cabin.

College Visit

We stayed with two of our sons to visit the University of Wyoming and couldn't be happier with the location. The house was great. The fishing was great for three novice fishermen. The view was amazing. Look forward to staying again. The property manager was easy to contact and addressed all of our needs.

UWYO Grad Weekend

We rented El Rancho Pequeno to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from the University of Wyoming. She asked for a quiet family weekend. This enchanting spot along the Laramie River was perfect. We enjoyed lazing morning coffees watching the river and late evening dinners in the cabin. The art and amenities were spot on. We hope we get to return someday.

Rustic chic

Unique lodge, filled with charm, art, eclectic furnishings and family personality. Beautiful surroundings. Extremely private, except for visiting friendly cattle. Big Laramie running by with trout for skilled anglers. Wonderful linens. Very clean throughout.

Idyllic setting, super comfortable home

A great place to get away from it all, and with so many activities just outside. On cold days we played games indoors enjoying the amazing views. In nice weather there’s a beautiful porch with fire pit and lots of seating and of course the river is right there. Views of the river, mountains and open land. No visible neighbors. Comfortable beds and heated floors!

Peaceful Getaway

I do not think my 17 year old son has enjoyed himself so much in his life. He caught more fish than he ever has before - and he fishes a lot. A wonderful retreat. The closest to Legends of the Fall you will find in the States.

Rustic get away

Although the house was great for myself and my adult children, my father had a difficult time with the flagstone flooring. The uneven placements made a trip hazard and uncomfortable walking. We did enjoy the location and access to the river.

Dreamy

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at your gorgeous ranch. We agree with what Pop said in the wonderful book written by a family member about Jelm; the view coming home at sunset looking down on your ranch is one of the most beautiful on earth. The river was still a little too high for fishing but the meadows filled with blooming flowers was quite the bonus! Thank you so much, we will be back!!!

Family Fun on the River

We so enjoyed our time together as a family on the Laramie River. It is a private location and very unique. The tubes were in great shape and provided hours of enjoyment. Every night was filled with games and stories around the fire pit. Sleeping arrangements weren't as expected-we couldn't use the bunk pull downs as there was no lip for safety, and the pull out twin couch's mattress wasn't comfy. We adjusted though and it worked out. Cabin needs some TLC but it didn't distract from our stay. Thanks for sharing your home!
