This family friendly house is spacious and has everything you need to make your stay memorable and easy. Some places make you have to bring extras like kitchen items and laundry detergent. This had everything and then some. The host was extremely accommodating and even sent along a Roku stick because I am disabled and had to spend a lot of time in the master bedroom resting. I highly recommend you stay here!

A group of eight dads and ten daughters (all HS Senior Lax players btw) stayed here for a long weekend for a Father/Daughter Weekend Lake Getaway. The house was updated, clean and supplied very well. Small touches like a ninja espresso machine, hot tub, four inflatable SUPs, large firepit, plenty of parking, two refrigerators, and the many different sections of the home to relax and play games made it even more enjoyable.All of the girls were able to stay in one large (hidden entry) bedroom in the basement and only one or two of them slept on the floor. It was the perfect room for ten girls,The hosts were friendly, communcative and responded quickly to all our questions. We loved our stay and would do it again.From the '27 Eastern High School Girls Lacrosse team and their Papas, Thank You!

Our family found the perfect house! Every thing was so easy from booking to checking in and out! The house was stocked with everything you could need and the owners were amazing to deal with! The lake was a walk to get to but not too bad. We took the paddle boards out and the kids loved it as much as we did! We can’t wait for our next stay!

Had a great weekend away at this house with the family. The house was very spacious and the fire table outside on the deck was perfect for cooking out and playing ping pong! I will be staying here again!

This was by far the best VRBO vacation home we have ever rented. And we have rented quite a few through the years. The owners thought of everything! From 3 types of coffee makers to wonderful blocks for the kids and everything in between. We had everything we needed and more. Thank you Lee and Blake for everything!!

This "house" instantly became "home" to our family. To say that Captain's Lodge is perfect is every way isn't an exaggeration. Being better than pictured; we enjoyed every offering: hot tub, ping pong, foosball, and the video equipment all were big hits. The kitchen is a dream! We had a blast making our individual pizzas and baking them in the pizza oven. (a little tip- I brought frozen pizza dough balls and all the fixings) We'd never used a pizza oven before but it was easy and our meal was delicious. We loved walking down to the lake, which is currently at a low level but that made no difference. We fished and actually caught a few. It was fun exploring the shoreline for some pretty interesting stuff. The yard is huge and we enjoyed making smores in the fire pit, and dark sky star gazing. We would book again in a heart beat. Thanks Lee & Blake for sharing your beautiful house with us!

The cabin was absolutely perfect. Everything we could possibly need was stocked in the cabin and ready for us to use. There was plenty of space for both of our families to stretch out and enjoy some quiet time and large communal areas to play games, eat, and enjoy each other’s company. We loved the hidden room with the bunk beds. The kids had a little hideaway to sleep in that was all their own. The screened in porch allowed us to enjoy the outside bug free. We were able to sit around a fire pit and play many games of ping pong and foosball. Every inch of the cabin was clean. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into the cabin. Everything was upgraded and top-notch. It was luxurious, but still felt like home. I highly recommend staying if you are in the area.

We have experienced living in other places across the country but truly love everything that Kentucky has to offer and hope to share our getaway with you.

We fell in love with this property based on the ability to accommodate a large group of friends and family and the proximity to both Nolin Lake and Kentucky's only National Park. The access to the lake is wonderful at this home with a backyard that resembles a par three on a golf course.

This property has WONDERFUL entertaining spaces! From the open main floor living area that extends to the huge dining area that can be extended to the enclosed (or open patio). This home is great if you all want to be together or if maybe you want to do your own thing. There is so much space to come together or spread out.
