The home includes two full bathrooms with two fireplaces, a full kitchen, laundry, a queen bed in the master bedroom with TV and fireplace

Awesome experience in a superior place!

What a fantastic stay we had at Dachshund House. Rob the owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, even setting up a Christmas tree with little native Australian animals amongst the decorations on the tree! We stayed for 4 weeks (family of 5) as part of a “once in a lifetime” 2.5 month trip together and were not disappointed, apart from the fact we could not stay longer at the property! The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen was extremely well stocked with plenty of utensils, crockery, glassware (including bar ware) and appliances.The property was well heated and the 2 x fireplaces were a treat, my wife especially enjoying the one adjacent the large ensuite spa bathtub off the main bedroom. Hot-tub was well used to soak in and share stories of our day on the hill. We would love to come back again to stay and fingers crossed we will! Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable.

Great Property on the Knoll

One of the better properties we've stayed at on the Knoll. The kitchen was large and fully stocked, the living room had great views for a lower-level suite, the master bathroom with fireplace was amazing and the hot tub and Apple TV were added bonuses that the kids (and weary adults) appreciated apres-ski! We'll definitely be coming back!

End Of season stay!

We arrived end of March / first week of April to Silverstar to get some end of season Nordic and alpine turns in. Accommodations very clean and very well equipped Kitchen. Weber BBQ was a nice touch!

our first White Christmas

Absolutely magical time in Silverstar during Christmas. We are from NZ and this was a family white Christmas trip. The apartment was the icing on the cake - spacious, well appointed, good location and beautifully decorated with Christmas trimmings and decorations. Would very much like to stay there again if we get the opportunity. Many thanks.

Stayed here with my family of 5 for 3 nights to go skiing at Silverstar in mid April during last extended week of the season. The house was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The hot tub was great and everything was in good working order. We had our own car, but shuttle bus was available just across the street to the village. Overall great experience.

Sixties and still having fun!

We had a great stay at this property! We did both Nordic & Downhill. Ski in/out was good. Hot Tub has a nice setting around snow covered tree's. On a bluebird day the view of the Monashee's would be amazing. Info about shuttle in the unit would have been nice. Did not figure out the shuttle runs around the knoll until last day.

Awesome way to wrap up the season

We rented this condo while we did the S2S Nordic race and it was perfect for me and my family. Rob was so awesome to communicate with and when we had to bring our pooch at the last minute. The location is great and getting to the village was a breeze with the shuttle stopping right across the road- we were able to get my 4yr old and 2 yr old down and ready in time. Skiing was great for the final weekend and we would be happy to rent again from Rob.

Stayed for a month- wish we could have stayed longer!

This lodging was great for our long-term stay for our family of four. Key items that stood out for our long term rental include a well laid out floor plan, deep freeze included, larger living area, comfortable furniture, cozy decor, SUPER stocked kitchen (complete with 2 crockpots, coffee bean grinder, sushi plates/soy sauce bowls, wine glasses, etc!), BBQ, large kitchen pantry to store A LOT. The enclosed entrance area/boot room was spacious and extremely functional with keeping all of our snow/ski gear in one place. Having garage access to store skis, tobaggans and snowshoes was also very convenient. Shuttle comes around reliably every half hour to get to Village and back home from skiing. We found the shuttle was the best way to get back from skiing, but skiing out was extremely easy via either skiway access #3 or #4. Easy walk to tube town and skating pond by cutting down through underneath Silver Queen chair. Thanks for a great stay!

Spectacular

This is our second stay to Dachshund House; last year the middle floor and this year the lower unit. Both have all of the fixings of home such that you never want to leave. Well stocked kitchen, lots of storage space, great view, super cozy atmosphere, comfy beds, lovely hot tub, and easy access to ski, cross country, and snow shoe trails. Easy walk into town as well. Rob is always just a text away should you neeed anything. All in all a 5 star experience for our staycation.

Gorgeous rental & LOVED that hot tub!

A beautiful, up-to-date unit. Clean, comfortable, all amenities you could want. Rob was fabulous to talk to - a quiet, picturesque resort, great restaurants & bakery/cafe - would stay here again in a heartbeat! And my husband really wanted to pack that hot tub in his suitcase! Christmas Break Staycation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property. The setup is great for a family and all the snow gear that goes with it. Lots of room for boots and bins and laundry, etc. It was tastefully decorated for Christmas and was super cozy with the two gas fireplaces. We were happy with how close the trail was to access the ski hill. You can get to Silver Woods or the Comet easily. We also skied back on our second day, ending at the top of the Silver Queen chair with just a short walk home. We would definitely rent again!

Spectacular Mountain Getaway

What an absolutely incredible place to stay! We snuggled up for a couple nights and we could not imagine a more perfect place. The unit is fully equipped with everything a person could need and was clean, quiet and had all the wonderful little extras. Will DEFINITELY be staying here again when we are looking to get away from it all. Thank you to the host for providing such a wonderful experience. Miss it already!

Great accommodation

This is the nicest place we have stayed over 5 years of visits to Silver Star. The condo is fully equipped with a great layout for families with kids. We struggled with the combination on the front door and through trial and error figured out how to turn the keyhole to open the door.

Sublime Silver Star

Another fantastic holiday at Silver Star in a beautiful unit on the Knoll. Comfortable, cozy, just like home - why go anywhere else? And the skiing is to die for - perfect snow, no crowds, great mountain. Already booked for 2021 and 2022!

Great Property on The Knoll

Our family of 4 (plus goldendoodle Amber) stayed over the 2019 Holidays at "Dachshund haus" for a week. The house is well stocked, beautifully furnished/decorated, comfortable and located near access trails for all activities we love to enjoy at Silver Star. All appliances are high quality and the kitchen is very well stocked. The entertainment system is outstanding - everything you need is there, with a user-friendly setup. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a base for alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with the pup. Accessing the trails from the house is very easy, although returning to the house requires either a ride in the resort shuttle, a 10-minute walk from the top of the Silver Queen Chair Lift or a hike from the trails - but that's what you get from staying on top of beautiful Knoll! Well worth it.

Beautiful apartment, perfect location, awesome responsive owner/manager.

We have been coming to Silver Star for 7 years and we had stayed at the same location each year. But this year, the owners sold and moved so we opted for this unit. Great choice. Superlatives: newly renovated kitchen and bathrooms, with gorgeous granite counters, new cherry cabinets, new appliances including a gas stove (!), very quiet Bosch dishwasher, new washer/dryer, large French door fridge with icemaker and filtered water, new HiDef TV with Apple TV which was a tad challenging for us to operate but the owners had a tech guy on call who walked us through some of the complexities of the system, fully stocked kitchen, handy entry way. Driveway was reliably plowed and stairs shoveled; it snowed nearly every day during our week. One of the owners, Greg, lives upstairs; the other, Rob, responded promptly to our questions and issues (no laundry detergent but maid service dropped off a full box the next day). Living and dining seating were comfortable enough. The only nit was the bottom mattress in the bottom bed is feeling its age but the owner appreciated us bringing that to his attention. Gas fireplaces in both living room and master bedroom gave a cozy feel to the place. The view from the living room is spectacular, if you're lucky enough to have a view. We only had one day when the clouds parted for us to see. Highly recommended. If we come back to Silver Star, we will definitely hope to stay here.
