Experience our stylish BOHO Vista Retreat. A relaxing indoor/outdoor getaway perfect for families, couples, and small groups. This beautifully updated home features 4 BR / 2 BA, a cowboy pool, spa, treehouse, fire pit, outdoor dining, games, and multiple lounge spaces designed for relaxing day or night.

Inside, enjoy modern boho decor, Smart TVs in every bedroom, high-speed WiFi, A/C, central heat, and a fully stocked kitchen with coffee station, filtered water, craft ice cubes, cocktail tools, and cooking essentials.

The backyard is the highlight of the property with:

Cozy little house. We were in and out visiting with our Daughters family that lived nearby. It served us very well and we would like to rent it again in the future. The owner was very responsive to our questions and available if we needed him.

House was just as described. We arrived on Christmas and appreciated the decorated tree and stockings by the fireplace because we were traveling with children. The yard was GREAT for our kids to play and for the adults to visit. The large spa tub was very nice too.

My husband & I absolutely enjoyed our stay! The home is as lovely and even more charming in person!!! From the welcome sign & thank you note to the great communication and hospitality, we could have stayed longer. I loved the Scandinavian decor, every room is exquisite but also cozy and inviting. The layout of the house is neat, large families or parents with kids can easily have their own space. The cowboy pool, deck, firepit and spacious backyard are awesome. And I loved the amount of thriving indoor plants and outdoor fruit trees. The area is rich in agricultural so the natural beauty and light add a romance to an already beautiful home. Sidenote, being mid August, the air conditioning units were outstanding! Having a dog beach less than a hour away was a bonus. The drive for the sunset was easy to navigate and well worth it!!!! Oceanside, Carlsbad, Solana and Del Mar are all within reach.And we searched for pet friendly properties but I didn't expect there would be potty bags and a water dish ready on our arrival. It was very appreciated on a hot day and a long drive.Paul & Erica, thank you for opening your home and for being gracious hosts. You provided the rest and relaxation we greatly needed. Our stay at Erica and Paul’s place was great! The house was very clean and cozy. I loved the plants especially in the sun room. Our little daughter enjoyed the backyard, games, books and the treehouse. Great hosts! They made us feel so welcomed.

Everything we wanted!!

Pauls place was great, we were traveling with a family of small children and it was so accommodating. Paul thought of everything to make the stay great.. I would stay here again in a minute!

I stayed one night at this lovely home. Erika and Paul were very kind to work with. My granddaughter loved the large back yard. This was perfect for our short stay and more comfortable than a hotel.

Amazing hospitality

Erika and Paul have a special way of making their vacation rental a complete 5 star. There were so many thoughtful details from snacks to entertainment items that nothing was left to need. Very clean and well equipped for a great time.

Vista CA

Terrific location, near hiking, horse properties, shopping and restaurants. A/C units in property worked great. Short drive to old town Vista. Less than 1/2 hour drive to beach. Great backyard for relaxing. The home is decorated perfectly and we enjoyed all the beautiful plants.

A hidden gem. The exterior at the front of the house is unassuming and very simple, with limited curb appeal, but once you step inside, the magic unfolds. As you enter, a spacious, welcoming living room opens up before you to a bright sunroom. Beyond you can see an amazing backyard. Immediately, as you enter the home, on the left is the dining room, with a table for 6, which leads to the kitchen and the first two bedrooms. The first 2 bedrooms and bathroom at the front of the house are well appointed, clean and super comfortable. The decor matches the yellows, whites, grays, and basket theme at the front of the house. The warm grays and yellows are beautiful. There is the theme of basketry throughout the house and lots of greenery. There is a great reading nook, bookshelf, and kids decor plus a nice table for 4. The kitchen is modern. The cabinets are older, but the owner did a great job of painting all the cabinets, updating the hardware, and making it feel new. The coffee bar area is adorable. Transitioning into the back of the house beyond the kitchen, there is a great wet bar with a full size refrigerator, brand new cabinetry, floating shelves, and a new washer and dryer. Adjacent to the wet bar is a sunken living room, which functions as a 3rd bedroom with a sofa bed, an unusual “walk-through” closet w/ great shelving, which leads you into a 4th bedroom. There are two great skylights with Automated blinds.

I cannot say enough good things about our stay! The house itself was relaxing, set up so well, well decorated but not over the top. Paul and Erika had everything set up perfectly for our comfort. They could obviously foresee our needs and exceeded them! The neighborhood felt very safe. The listing says "dog friendly" but there was no dog smell/hair- it was super clean. They had plenty of books and toys to keep our little ones busy so we could unwind. The backyard was lovely and so great to have lots of space to enjoy the sunshine. Communication was a breeze. Really, it couldn't have been better. This was the best VRBO experience we've had. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for a private setting, this is not it. The 2 bedroom's windows both face the driveway the owner uses which shares the backside of the same property (its all attached) and they leave each morning before 5am, opening and closing the loud automatic garage door to go to a car in the driveway not the garage, then turning off car alarm all prior to leaving, guaranteeing you to wake up. On top of this the neighbor on the opposite side happens to be doing major construction each and every morning of our stay starting with jackhammering concrete at 7am sharp. The host did nothing to try and make better. I would of offered my guests the option to not stay during this type of work. Don’t get me wrong, the house is great, the experience was awful.

Thank you for your feedback. To clarify, the home has an attached private mother-in-law suite with two private backyards. The main home has its own private backyard, and the mother-in-law suite also has a separate private outdoor space. The parking for the mother-in-law suite is located in front of the main garage, approximately 23 feet from the start of the master bedroom. My fiancée typically opens the garage door around 5:30 a.m. to leave for work, and the garage door remains open during the day until nightfall. We’ve never received concerns about this before, but we’ll certainly consider adjustments to help ensure quieter mornings for our guests. The neighboring construction you experienced has since been completed, and the area has returned to its usual quiet, peaceful setting. We’re glad you found the house itself great, and we truly appreciate your input as it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests.
