TESLA CHARGING STATION ON THE PROPERTY. Cabin with four private bedrooms on 30 wooded acres. Full kitchen, dinning table, washer and dryer, vintage pinball machines, and pool table. Three bathrooms. Knotty pine interior. Private sand beach on 1.5 acre pond. Elevated wood deck with patio seating. Canoe available for catch and release fishing or fish from 27 foot 10' wide dock. Cabin located on 30 wooded acres with blacktop drive and ample parking. There is a fire pit on the beach. wood available for an extra fee. Pets allowed for an extra fee. Wheelchair accessible. check our website out for details. NO WIFI, only local channels on TV. CHECK IN AT 4:00 pm CHECK OUT AT 11:00 am weekends must be booked together or a different rate for one day will be required. ALL HOLIDAYS AND SIU EVENTS REQUIRE A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM STAY. Fees are set for 10 persons there is a $20 per night per person addition fee for over 10 occupants If you have any concerns please CONTACT ME PERSONALLY so I can address them. If you are going to use the zip line Please talk to me so I can go over it's use. There is an extra charge for large groups (family gatherings) etc. I must be made aware of this and there will be an extra charge depending on the number of persons in your group. fees for large gatherings will be determined between myself and my guests. cabin entrance is by a key. please call a week before your reservation to verify and ask any questions.

This place was amazing in some ways. Location was nice. Layout of the house was great. There were clean linens, bathrooms and beds. The pond is really nice. Where this place is lacking is overall maintenance. Door locks are shoddy...It needs A good pressure washing, some tree trimming and mowing, New deck chair cushions and a good deeeeep clean inside the cabin. The oven and ceiling fans etc. Some outdoor lighting near the pond would be amazing...The canoes were great! The pond fountain was sweet! Two washers and dryers were a plus. A couple thousand bucks and a good 40 hour deep clean and this place would be 5 stars!

Cabin 1 was like being at summer camp. The cabin had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The best feature about the visit was the sandy beach and swim pond right behind the cabin. My family loved swimming and using the zip line! Mr. Tom was a very sweet host. The cabin was very close to many points of interest and the city.

Overall, it was a good experience. The pond and zip line was very fun! Loved that it was a private pond and area for a large group. We celebrated my daughter's birthday and it was the perfect spot for her to have a sleepover with friends. However, some of the things on the listing were not as advertised. The pinball machines seemed to not be in working order and the foosball table did not have the original ball in it and was too small for the players to kick deeming it unplayable. There was also only 1 TV in the house though the listing stated there were 4.

We had a wonderful time enjoying many of the amenities this cabin had to offer. When we arrived, we unloaded and headed straight to the private pond, so we didn’t initially spend much time looking around the cabin itself. I also spoke with the owner, who was very kind and welcoming, and at that time everything seemed great. The property itself is beautiful, and we especially loved the pool table and beach area.Unfortunately, we did have some concerns that affected our overall experience. The biggest issues were cleanliness and the fact that two of the doors would not lock properly. We were staying for my girls’ 16th birthday sleepover with their friends, so it was a group of women and young girls. Knowing that we could not securely lock all of the doors made it difficult to fully relax and sleep comfortably.The cleanliness also needed some attention. We found used razors and used bars of soap in drawers, along with food or crusted residue and other spots of buildup on a chair and some blankets. The coffee pot was dirty and had a used K-cup in it. There was trash left in the trash can in the bathroom from previous renters. Finding these things made us question how thoroughly the cabin had been cleaned before our arrival.With better attention to cleaning and the locks being repaired, this could be a really beautiful and enjoyable place to stay. We truly enjoyed the property and its amenities, and I hope this feedback is helpful to the owner in making a few improvements.

Great place

It was a nice trip. Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time there due to one of my sons having car trouble. I would stay again though.

Love this place

I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. The pond in the back is great for swimming, fishing, and canoeing. The back deck overlooks it so you never really feel like you’re disconnected from the rest of the group. I hope to be back next year!

Girls Trip

Nice and quiet place to stay that felt far enough away/ secluded but also convenient to anything we needed. Quick trip to the wine trails. We all enjoyed our weekend!

Friends getaway

Had a great time at the pond, with the dock and Zipline. Kids had a great time! Was a really great space for all of us friends who have kids.

Decent stay but needs TLC done

Overall a pretty decent stay. Would have been better if the moment we got there the porch didn't have piles of clothes on it and the master bedroom didn't leak when it rained.

The perfect location for a family reunion

We had 12 people ages 1-73 and everyone had a great time. The highlight of the property i the private pond and beach. Canoes and a paddle boat are there and we brought lots of floats. The fishing was also good. The game room downstairs was also a hit.

Property is on 30 wooded acres 1/2 mile from city limits, 1 mile from Southern Illinois University campus. No thru-traffic and very private wooded grounds. this property is in the country and there are various animals (squirrels possum raccoon snakes ) and bugs. there is poison ivy and oak in the woods on the property. If you walk off into the woods take precautions. Please contact me personally for any concerns you have so I can address them

A 3 NIGHT STAY IS REQUIRED FOR ALL HOLIDAYS AND SIU EVENTS. Our cabin offers a ramp to the porch and wide doors for wheelchair accessibility. There are hand bars in the bathroom and bedroom with a lift chair. This cabin offers fishing , swimming on a private beach on the pond, canoeing, and other outdoor games. There is a fire pit with wood available for an extra fee. Inside there are 3 vintage pinball machines, a standard pool table. charcoal grill available. Gas grill available at your request. recycling is mandatory, . There is a zip line at the beach you must talk to me before using it for safety reasons.
