The red cottage has been completely remodeled from top to bottom in 2017. This cottage is located directly to the South of the Log Cabin also listed on HomeAway (155082) and VRBO (79279). These properties will rent out together or separately.

The red cottage is privately situated on 5 acres featuring shade trees, open fields and 100 feet of sandy Lake Huron frontage. This 1800 square foot year round home has spectacular views of the lake from most rooms.

Several improvements to this cottage since our last stay, including a new lakeside deck, improved access to the lake and some upgrades inside the cottage made our stay better than ever. It is cozy, but the beds are great.

We have stayed here several times and plan to keep coming back. We love the breathtaking water view, the beach and watching the freighters go by.

Great location on the lake. Feels like minimal effort put into this place for the price. I.e., leaves not raked from last fall in front yard along fence, picnic table had flaking paint and was scaly to point it couldn’t be used, gazebo deck not cleaned since last fall. Gazebo in state of disrepair, rebar rods sticking up in yard where landscaping logs used to be, porches dirty and filled with spider webs, no paper towel, 1/4 roll of T.P. (Had to drive 10 minutes to get more after a hour or so of arriving), etc. It’s close, but needs work if they would like to continue to charge the current rates.

Amazing spot on the lake!

Great views, great swimming, great location and a lovely house to boot! The property was perfect and we spent most of our time just enjoying the place. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pans etc. Would certainly rent it again!

Great stay!

We rented the red cottage along with the log cabin to host a small wedding. Everything was perfect and both houses made for plenty of room for our 30 guests to sleep comfortably. Will definitely be returning to this property!

We loved staying in the red house! It was very clean and had everything we required for a comfortable stay. Much loved the fire pit and sitting out there in the evenings with a glass of wine watching the freighters sail by. We will stay again!!

Fabulous Family Reunion

Combined this location with the Log House next door for a reunion. The cabin has lots of room, is well cared for, and has a wonderful beach and shore line. This was our second stay here on and the family was unanimous in its praise and desire to meet again at this property.
