Whether you're planning a golf getaway or a family vacation, Tandika is a great home away from home offering you a little piece of paradise while you experience the beauty of the Desert.

Lovely Outdoor Patio and Private Pool for your enjoyment and yours alone. Over 1800 sq. ft. home with 2 Master Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The newly renovated home is furnished and fully equipped with everything you need to make your vacation comfortable and easy.

Lounge by the pool, play some golf or tennis Or watch the sun set over the desert. Our Tandika Gem has everything you need for the perfect Palm Desert vacation.

With the open floor plan and 10 foot ceilings, the spacious home is ready for you to enjoy. The Living Room has a Large Flat Screen TV, WiFi, Cable, DVD Player, a land line phone for your use with free long distance to all of North America. The wet bar is a nice addition! The Dining Room has seating for 6, with a wonderful view of the pool. With the open kitchen concept, you also get a great view of the patio. Stainless Steel Appliances, Ice Maker, & Dishwasher round out the kitchen.


The lovely 2 Bedroom home is tastefully decorated and sits quietly surrounded by bougainvillea blossoms, olive trees, hibiscus, and grapefruit trees. Take in the great mountain views while enjoying your morning coffee on the patio. The overhead fans are a wonderful treat on those hot days in the Desert Sun.

Both Master Bedrooms have been newly renovated with vinyl plank flooring and completely updated this summer. From both bedrooms you have access through the sliding patio doors out to the back courtyard where you can rest and relax in the cool shade with the Desert landscape of Yucca & Agave plants, the blooming spider cactus & Grapefruit trees. Plantation Shutters throughout the home are a nice addition for your privacy.

Avondale Golf Club is a guard gated private golf community in Palm Desert, is centrally located and only a mere 20 minutes from The Living Desert, Shopping at El Paseo or The River, A tram ride up the mountain overlooking Palm Springs, MCallum Theater for the Performing Arts, and the fabulous evening entertainment in Downtown Palm Springs. Also just around the corner is the luxurious Marriott Golf Resort and Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa. You have world class restaurants all through the area so you can truly enjoy the Desert Lifestyle.

Wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay in this very comfortable home. The kitchen is very well equipped (even had a Crock Pot!). Our family and friends loved the pool and used it often. We had wonderful neighbors and would love to return!

Wonderful property!!

Communications with the hosts was excellent thru the entire process. The home was perfect for our stay. A great quiet location, nice layout of the rooms. Comfortable and clean throughout. The bonus is the private pool just outside your door! Hope to be back for our future visits to the Palm Springs area!

Very comfortable!

Owner very responsive to our communications. Home was comfortable and provided what we needed. We stayed in November and weren't sure what the weather would be so the owner offered to have the pool heater turned on.

Beautiful Location

The property was absolutely gorgeous very clean and spacious. Checking in was super easy. The owner of the property was friendly and responsive when reaching out. The only downside was the ac stopped working and the property manager was not as friendly when I had to reach out. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Lots of room to relax

The pictures don't do justice to this wonderful home. Both indoor and outdoor are more spacious that we expected. The pool was perfect (the heater worked). Lots of sunny and shaded places to sit and relax. The home is very well stocked with basics to cook. The check-in process was so easy. The home is in a gated community that is very quiet and friendly. We would definitely come back.

Want an awesome vacation home - this is it!

We stayed at this wonderful house for a few weeks and found it to be a most comfortable and relaxing home for our vacation. Located in a lovely golf community with an awesome pool and fabulous living quarters we thoroughly enjoyed every hour we spent there. The grapefruit trees in the back yard were second to none and found their place every morning on our breakfast plates. The pool was only five short steps from the patio door and the water was most welcoming any time of the day. Laying around by the pool with a cool drink, floating on the pool with a good book from the house library, or bbqing on the pool deck, all made for an unforgettable Southern California vacation. Would we go back? In a heart beat. It was nothing short of being one of the finest places for a great R and R vacation. Thank you for making our experience and our stay absolutely amazing.

Nice house and great location

We really enjoyed this house. It was very comfortable and a great location. The only negative was with the pool. It was suppose to be heated to a certain temperature. When we got there the heater wasn’t on but we got a quick response from the owner and the property manager contacted the pool guy to turn it on. However it never got to the indicated temperature and seemed to just shut off again half way through our stay. Was a bit disappointing since we booked the house hoping to swim everyday. Besides that it was wonderful!

Wonderful Stay!

This home is beautiful and inviting. The pool was great and we took full advantage. The neighborhood is lovely and made for some nice evening walks. The hosts where organized and communication was excellent. We look forward to coming back!

Perfect for 2 couples or a small family

We were there with another couple and it suited our needs very well. The property was as described. It was clean and well appointed. It was well outfitted with a lot of appliances and extras one would not expect in a rental. The beds and linen were very comfortable and good quality. The weather cooperated and we had lots of pool time, with the available pool toys, which was heated for us. We ate every meal outside at the poolside table and chairs. The BBQ is very good quality and we used it alot. The men golfed and discovered that in October, most of the courses are closed for overseeding. We were happy to see the kitchen and fridge well stocked with necessary spices and the basic condiments. There is a "pay it forward" sort of system in place. If you use up something, replace it and it leave the rest for the next visitors with things like condiments and spices, food wraps, etc. The owners were very responsive with all our communication. We hope to be able to return to this area again and we had no problems making it our home away for home for the time we were there.

Return Visit

We returned to Tandika because it is a comfortable home, perfect for two couples, and it has a private pool. We enjoyed it very much (except for a massive dust storm on our last night). The hosts are accommodating and communicative. The house has everything you'll need. We recommend it.

Great Getaway Spot

Our family of 4 needed relaxing time away and we sure got it! We used the house and pool to its fulliest! Great property, defintely recommend for a family or small group of friends.

Base camp for coachella

We stayed here to attend coachella and also managed to squeeze a few rounds of golf in. Perfect property and location for a small group of friends to access everything the area has to offer, plus you have your own pool and private garden. Host was very responsive and provided all the info needed to make our stay as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Perfect Oasis in Palm Desert

Tandika was the perfect house for our first visit to Palm Desert ! The house is Spacious , beautiful , comfortable , and had everything we could possibly need. The house is spotless , has a very well equipped kitchen , and the patio and pool perfect for relaxing any time of day. We loved the neighborhood , our long walks around the complex , and the easy access we had to all the places we wanted to visit in the area. As a VRBO owner myself , I was incredibly impressed with every part of this experience. We are already looking forward to our next stay there.

Comfortable Place

Well equipped kitchen, lots of supplies, linens, etc. Plenty of seating. Bikes and pool toys provided. Minor issues with outside fans & misters, manager is on it. Very nice manager and owners, quick to respond by phone. Note: Garage not available for parking.

Great stay

Excellent location, great walking area with friendly neighbors. Facility was as listed, a bit old but very comfortable and spacious., and everything in operating order. No complaints at all.

Nice small home in beautiful neighborhood

Was looking for last minute home to stay in with private pool as decided to cancel timeshare with stricter Covid restrictions. All for precautions but didn’t want to sit at pool with a mask. Weather ended up cooler so didn’t get much much pool time but great to pool out in sun whenever we had time & sun. Plenty roomy for 4 gals. I had requested King bed be split in 2 twins but they didn’t work as no mattress pad on twins & they wiggled & moved a lot when switching positions. We put it back as K with mattress pad and then it was very comfy as were the 2 full beds in other bedroom. We used the kitchen everyday and worked well for 2 meals/day. Nice BBQ but didn’t use. Owner & local rep were great to work with and great communication. We loved walking in the community every day & likes the security with gate check in to enter. They have big community room but we never even went in with Covid. There is road noise but I sleep with earplugs as hubby as CPAP machine so never bothered me. Perfect base for our outdoor adventures or whatever is your reason to stay then spent 1st & last day relaxing at the pool.
