3 Bedroom Log Cabin with a large Loft area sleeps 10-16. All accommodations included, large fully stocked kitchen, laundry Washer and Dryer, 2.5 baths, WiFi, Satellite TV, Charcoal / Gas Grill, Large Wrap-around Deck, Open Floor Plan, Dining Room, Wood Burning Fire Place. Property is on 35 acres and the Salt River runs through the property 1/4 mile of River Frontage with Blue Ribbon Trout Fishing just out your front door.

Note: From approx. Mid June to early September we only do weekly rentals (Sat - Sat)

This is a wonderful place to stay. Each year my brothers and I do a fishing trip to Star Valley and there is no better place in the area. Plenty of space for 6 grown men to stay, full kitchen and living room area. Also amazing access to the Salt River. We love staying here and will continue to do so as long as it is available.

I cannot give this place a high enough rating!! Service and communication was excellent from the get go! The welcome package Eric sent out was so, so helpful as this was our first time to the area. The location was fabulous if visiting the Tetons or Yellowstone. The house itself was gorgeous and so peaceful after a day’s activities. Sitting on the deck overlooking the mountains sipping wine and watching all of the Canadian geese at sunset was nearly Heaven!! Location on the Salt River was definitely my husband’s and Father’s idea of Heaven!! My grandson was so thrilled to catch his very first fish here!!

We had a blast exploring the Southeastern area below Yellowstone. Eric had a wealth of knowledge about day trips we wouldn't have had any idea of. He also suggested restaurants that were incredible. Later we took an overnight into Grand Teton National Park and even into Yellowstone to watch Olf Faithful erupt. I would highly recommend this beautiful cabin on the Salt river. Definitely worth the stay!

Yellowstone & Teton trip

The best place to stay with solitude and quiet using Freedom WY as our home base! The cabin is spectacular, clean with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. We had a fireplace, grill and a nice patio! Eric was available anytime we text or called to answer questions. Great experience!

Amazing Fishing and Amazing Cabin

My brothers and I do a fishing trip every year to Star Valley and this is the first time we stayed at this location. We were blown away by the space, location, and the proximity to the river. This gave us plenty of time to fish and just hang out when we were done for the day. All of us were able to have our own beds which were very comfortable and allowed us all a great night sleep. I have been fishing the Salt River for over 25 years and this was the best fishing I have ever experienced. Can’t wait to book this for our trip again next year.

Wow, what a cabin!

We booked this propert for our wedding weekend and Eric was so helpful answering any questions we had before and during the stay. The cabin was conveniently located for everything we wanted for our trip and was so clean. 5 star listing, We can't wait to book another stay here!

I loved the location of the Cabin. The Deck and the views were wonderful while we were having our morning coffee and the sunsets are amazing. The stars in the sky at night a must see Walks in the morning. We loved it!

Great Property!

This house was great! The kitchen was well appointed, there was plenty of room for all my guests, the living areas were large and we all enjoyed it so much! The property feels very private with a great expanse of open space around the house. I would highly recommend this house!

Wish I could give it 10 stars

This property is OUTSTANDING! The house is beautiful, impeccably clean (cleanest house I’ve ever rented), and a well-stocked kitchen. We were a large party of 7 with a dog and there was plenty of room for all. The location is ideal! The town of Jackson is a little over an hour away. Jenny lake is about an 1 1/2, colter bay under 2 hrs and Yellowstone 2 1/2 hrs. My husband and sons fly fished on the Salt Creek on the property and found a great spot in Alpine on the Grey river off of the snake river. I highly recommend horseback riding at Rockin M Ranch; the horses are healthy & happy, the guides are friendly, and it’s a great tour. I also recommend Dan Hansen Whitewater rafting; again a great time, very professional & accommodating. Eric, the gentleman who owns the house, is great. Very, very responsive to questions (even called me when he felt the text would be too long or confusing) and super personable. It was a great family vacation made better by staying in this amazing house. Thank you so much Eric!!!

Beautiful 360 views

Nice private cabin with lots of room for kids and adults, open kitchen and dining, great deck and fire pit with beautiful views of mountains all around. It got a bit hot in the afternoons (late July) as there is no air conditioning ( like most mountain cabins) , but the fans helped. Plenty of activities in the area. Only problems were that there’s an active mining operation nearby so you have to watch out for the trucks coming in and out on the road to the cabin as they do NOT watch for incoming cars. and the sprinklers ran several times a day, making a muddy mess of the driveway and getting the cars wet. Overall a great experience and Eric was very communicative and available for questions.

Nature at its finest!

House was perfectly decorated with many small details throughout. Kitchen fully stocked. Ample room to cook and dine. Living room spacious and comfortable. Plenty of beds to fit the family. Wonderful location. Quiet and scenic. Mornings and evenings on the deck were relaxing. Saw many birds of prey including golden eagles. Highly recommended!!

Our new favorite family vacation spot!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Eric was amazing at communicating with us! Recent flooding had washed out the road, so he guided us through some detours to help us arrive safely at the cabin! We loved the large kitchen, and we had all the kitchen items needed to feed a large family. The large wraparound deck was perfect for morning and evening relaxing and the fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows at night. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs that each have a queen bed and 2 twin beds, and the master bedroom is on the main floor with it’s own bathroom. We loved the nearby stores, restaurants, and golf courses. The cabin was perfect for our family of 8, and we will be back again next year!

This is a perfect place for a family vacation. Great house and view. The house/kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The bonus is… you won’t find a better host! Eric is awesome and is just a call away if you need him. Hoping to get to visit again one day in the future!

Intro to Wydaho

Cabin met my family's needs nicely. Plenty of room and great privacy. We found good fishing on Grey and Little Grey as well as several streams in Idaho. Salt River had poor access and was murky. Spent time in Diggs, ID and Jackson, WY. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy your property.

After 10 years there are still new adventures that we discover like the Intermittent Spring in Afton which is a short drive and easy, beautiful hike.

We are close to all of the National Forests and Parks. This area has some of the best skiing and snowmobiling in the West.
