Welcome to The Summit Shack, your ideal Big Bear Lake retreat! Located just steps from Bear Mountain Ski Resort, this charming 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath townhouse is perfect for a mountain escape. Relax after a fun day on the slopes by the cozy gas fireplace or enjoy mountain views from the upstairs balcony. Gather around the fire pit or grill on the propane BBQ in the backyard.
Inside, you’ll find an open floor plan with comfortable seating, natural light, and modern conveniences:
• Master Bedroom: King-size bed, full bathroom, and sliding door to the backyard.
• Second Bedroom: King-size bed with plenty of space for relaxation.
• Fully equipped kitchen, WiFi, and cable TV included.
For larger groups, both sides of the duplex can be rented together, with a connecting upstairs door for easy access. Minutes away from Big Bear Village for dining, shopping, and entertainment. Whether skiing, hiking, or relaxing, The Summit Shack offers everything you need for an unforgettable getaway!

Pets: Allowed (up to 2 pets). A one-time $60 per pet fee applies.
Check-In and Arrival
• Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.
• Please check in at our office first:

Office Hours:
• Friday & Saturday: 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Sunday to Thursday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM
If arriving outside these hours, please notify us in advance for a virtual check-in.
• Valid ID matching the reservation is required at check-in.
General Rules
• Good Neighbor Policy: All guests must review and agree to the Good Neighbor Policy, which will be provided electronically upon booking. This is required by the City of Big Bear Lake. Violations may result in fines or eviction without refund.
• Noise: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No outdoor spa use or amplified music is permitted during these hours.
• Trash: Guests are responsible for taking trash to public sites:
• Clean Bear Site #1: 41790 Garstin Drive
• Clean Bear Site #2: 39690 Big Bear Blvd
Failure to remove trash will result in a $25 fee per bag.
• Parking: Park only in designated spaces (2 vehicles max). No street parking allowed.
During Your Stay
• Treat the property with care. Report any damages or maintenance needs immediately.
• Smoking/Vaping/Drugs: Strictly prohibited indoors. Evidence of smoking may result in a $500 fee.
• Pets: Guests must clean up after their pets (indoors and outdoors). Excessive pet-related cleaning or damage may result in additional charges up to $250.
• Fireplace & Fire Pit: Only use as described in the listing. Ensure the fireplace is off after use. Outdoor wood fires are prohibited.
• Hot Tub/Outdoor Spa (if equipped):
• No glass or alcohol in the spa.
• Cover must remain on when not in use.
• Excessive dirt or debris may result in a $150 cleaning fee.
• Child Safety: The property is not childproof; children must be supervised at all times.
Check-Out Instructions
• Check-out time: 10:00 AM. No need to return to the office.
• Clean and return any used items (dishes, BBQ tools, etc.). Uncleaned items may incur a $50 fee.
• Dispose of all trash at public sites before leaving.
• Set the thermostat to 55°F during winter months.
• Ensure all windows and doors are locked.
Winter/Weather Considerations
• Snow and ice are common in Big Bear Lake. Exercise caution when navigating the property.
• Carry tire chains (required by law from November to April).
• If additional snow removal is needed during your stay, contact us in advance.
Liability and Damages
• Guests are responsible for any damages caused during their stay. Costs for repairs or replacements will be billed accordingly.
• The host is not liable for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal items during the stay.
