Great location to Pittsburgh…got to spend valuable time with our 2 grandchildren that attended college in the area. The downtown is awesome…very quaint and restaurants were amazing!

House is large and in a nice neighborhood. However, the outside property is poorly maintained. The queen bed had no box spring and mattress was on the floor making it difficult to get in/out.

The house is super spacious. There was plenty of room to spread out so we could still visit and have a good time without waking up our infant granddaughter. The host is very responsive. We all agreed it would be worth renting again the next time we are in the area!

We drove 5 hours and my daughter’s family flew in for my son’s wedding. Upon arrival, we found out that the electrical service had been terminated by the utility. We had to find motel rooms on a holiday weekend - a very stressful predicament. Four adults and 3 children staying in 2 motel rooms was not what we originally signed up for but we were thankful that the local Hampton Inn was able to provide us shelter.VRBO provided a full refund plus paid the extra expenses we incurred.

Again my apologies. This never happened before. This was a mix up on the power company where my payments were being credited to another property. This was resolved within hours but I understand your decision. Thanks again.

Rocco was a responsive host. However, the property has much room for improvement. We selected this property because of its proximity to a wedding venue, so we were thankful to have a short drive. The house is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and many of the surrounding houses are very well-kept. Unfortunately, the exterior appearance does not match the surrounding houses. The yard was overgrown and frumpy when we arrived. The house seems to have been recently remodeled, but it seems the materials selected came from a surplus or were whatever was available on-hand. There are gaps in tile that were not properly grouted. Walls were either only primed or painted and appear to not be primed. One of the bathrooms on the main floor has a window with wood frame and does not seem to be properly waterproofed. The light fixture installed doesn't cover up an original hole and no attempt was made to patch the hole. Most of the cosmetic issues, I could look past, but the lack of proper sealing and waterproofing will become a health hazard at some point as moisture builds up and mold begins to grow. More immediately frustrating was the bed we slept on. It was a mattress resting on a metal frame. There was no intermediate structure to evenly support the mattress. So, the mattress sloped down at the end and slowly drooped between the metal frame. In the morning, I would have to reset the mattress on the metal frame as it drooped overnight and turned into a wavy surface.

Friends weekend getaway

The house was clean and comfortable. The design of the house was perfect for a friends getaway weekend. On one floor were the bedrooms and a living allowed for quite conversation. Downstairs was the kitchen, gameroom, and another seating area for more rowdy gatherings. We all enjoyed our stay and would absolute recommend the rental.

This property was very convenient for us. There were several renovations that make the house very nice and more modern; however, there were several concerns overall as well as an issue that was not handled well while we stayed. The master bathroom has a beautiful new shower but the overspray ran through the floor and part of the ceiling downstairs fell down. Initially the owner wrote right back saying he'd get someone to clean it up, but then didn't update us on a repair plan for over 24 hrs. Meanwhile we eventually had to clean it up ourselves so that we could use the dining area and could see what looked like mold in the ceiling. We were concerned about our kids being exposed to mold. Beyond this issue, there were several other concerns. The kitchen is not well stocked. There were barely enough plates, not enough bowls, and not enough silverware for the 6 of us. The mattress for the queen bed did not fit on the frame so it dipped way down at the foot. There were various lose fittings, towel holders, etc. The front steps to the driveway are falling apart. There was a lot of poison ivy outside. Some of the decor was disturbing for our young children. There were no instructions for check out, or anything else. The house has great potential, but definitely needs some improvements.
