While Adam was responsive and the home itself was clean and roomy, our stay fell short due to several maintenance and inventory issues. The house accommodates ten guests, yet the kitchen was severely under-equipped, lacking basic essentials with only four plates, four mugs, and a single wine glass available. We also encountered several upkeep concerns. The outdoor grill required significant scrubbing before use, and the interior components (flavorizer bars) were heavily degraded. The master bedroom lighting was poor enough to require a phone flashlight to see the nightstand, and the exterior landscaping lacked attention compared to the listing photos. Furthermore, seeing the stove plugged into an extension cord leading to a counter socket raised safety concerns for our group. As a quiet group of mature adults in our late 50s and 60s who were asleep by 10:00 PM every night, we felt uncomfortable with the level of surveillance. The host micromanaged our stay with texts and calls regarding the number of vehicles in the driveway, despite us traveling from different states. Additionally, being required to pay the full rental amount a year in advance felt transaction-heavy rather than guest-focused. The property has great potential, but it needs better attention to inventory, groundskeeping, and guest privacy.
