Excellent place to stay in for exploring the birds of the area

Great Get Away!
We booked the Duke house for our daughter’s wedding outside of Solver Lake. This was the perfect “home base” for us to return to each day from setting up, the wedding ceremony and reception and clean up the next day! So comfortable and quiet. The views are exceptional.We highly recommend The Duke House!

Everything was very clean, beds were all comfortable and all appliances we used worked. We did not bring any pets but they had plenty of pet friendly items I could see around the house. If you haven't been to Summer Lake it is a beautiful place and great fishing at the lake and along the small river. The river can be tricky to get down to so bring waders.

We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It is a remote area and the kitchen was well supplied with cooking tools and appliances. We brought our own groceries and thankful that they did, there are no larger grocery stores around.
