Constructed with ironwood lumber harvested from the bay and preserved without modern treatments, the home has stood strong for over a century, untouched by termites and time. During World War II, it served as a coastal bunker; long before that, it was a stop for early train visitors who arrived by train to experience the beauty of Kawela Bay. From royal summers to railway picnics, this home has witnessed generations of island life. Today, Hale Keo Keo blends its storied past with thoughtful updates, inviting you to sleep where kings once vacationed and sea turtles still return to rest.
