Relaxing villa

Lovely accommodation in a quiet scenic location. Nearest town sao Bra de Aportel has nice restaurants. Pool excellent too

Wonderful stay

We had an amazing week in Portugal in thanks to the wonderful place we've stayed. It was very spacious, clean, had great amenities - we really recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed place to stay when visiting. 10/10!

The villa was everything we expected and more. Extremely well appointed and immaculately clean. Teresa, the property manager, made us feel welcome and went out of her way to make our stay special. The pool was a particular highlight of our stay. Highly recommend this wonderful property

Great villa, very private location

Fantastic well equiped villa, located in the hills in a very private location. Teresa was extremely welcoming and waited for us following a flight delay. Fully recommend this villa if you want a relaxed and peaceful holiday.

Teresa was amazing -we had been delayed so got to villa later then planned but she met us and showed us the way to the villa- lovely location although very rural and definitely do need a car. Would love to go back some time

Thank you for your great review! Yes, you do need a car, although we already had tenants that had good experiences with Uber or Bolt. So that is an option when you don't want to rent a car:-) And, yes, Teresa is indeed amazing!

A very spacious and stunning villa! Located in a lovely remote spot not far from Faro. The villa is extremely well equipped with everything you will need including a 12m swimming pool! A very highly recommended villa to stay at and we will definitely consider another visit there in the future.

We have stayed at this beautiful holiday home several times and are absolutely delighted with it. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle and don't mind the rooster crowing or dogs barking in the morning, this is the place for you.Thanks to the warm hospitality of the landlady and the kind-hearted Teresa on site, you can enjoy your holiday from the first minute to the last.

A fantastic stay at Vila Lua

The villa was spotlessly clean and the decor is modern with nice personal and artistic touches. It had everything we needed for a family holiday, including high chairs, cot and a good coffee machine (very important with young children who like to wake up at dawn!). We had a great holiday and would highly recommend Vila Lua.

A Great Place

Vila Lua is a loving place. Beautiful house, spectacular nature, lovely pool, nice rooms, good kitchen and lots a nice places to enjoy breakfast, coffee, reading, having dinner or just enjoy the peace and joy. Vila Lua is a place where you don’t wanna leave.

Perfect

We spent an amazing time at the villa. It has lots of space for up to 6-7 people, the pool area and the modern villa are just perfect. Would recommend it to everyone, who is looking for a relaxing time with friends or family in the beautiful algarve region. The communication with the owner and Teresa has been perfect as well.

As advertised

Excellent from start to finish. Teresa (the housekeeper) was fantastic making sure our stay was great without being obtrusive. The accommodation was as advertised with a fantastic pool which easily accommodated family of 6. Would not hesitate to recommend and genuinely hope to return.

Excellent Stay

Villa Lua offers great value for money. The villa is very spacious, extremely clean and well provisioned. The pool is large and well situated. The only areas of improvement would be slightly better lighting outside & the paving by the pool to be redone. Otherwise, we had an extremely enjoyable stay. Teresa was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome & was always available for any questions we had.

Great Villa

Had a nice relaxing 1 weeks break at Villa Lua the Villa is very spacious and clean the Garden is beautiful with lovely views of the countryside. Enjoyed swimming in the pool which was much larger than most pools. Thersa the housekeeper is a lovely lady and Angela the Villa owner promptly repsponed to emails etc. Thank you Angela Kind Regards Suzanne&Tony

Pure relaxation

The holiday home is much nicer in reality than in the pictures on the internet. Checking in and out was totally super and easy. Very nice "staff". Everything went smoothly. The location on the hillside is very idyllic and invites you to relax. The pool area is also very lovingly decorated. We would come again at any time. However, you definitely need a car. Also to explore the beautiful coast. We had a very relaxing time in our holiday home.

Wonderful Villa

Perfectly matched the description. Very well equipped. Couldn't have asked for better communication or support from the owner or Teresa. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool was terrific to have in the hot weather. We agree with others that you really need a car which we did anyway.

Amazing holiday!

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Lua. The house is in the middle of the nature with a fantastic view of the mountains. The villa itself is very tastefully decorated with a great care for detail. There is plenty of space for a large family, three people can even shower at the same time. Around the house there are many secluded spots to spend time and the garden is also very nicely laid out. The pool is pleasantly warm and offers enough space to really swim. You can go hiking directly from the house. In São Bras de Alportel you will find all the shopping you need and beaches are 20 minutes away by car. Thank you for this gorgeous holiday. ♥

Yes, with 12 meters the pool is a great deal larger than most pools and you are really able to swim:-) And you are right, directly from the house you can join the Bengado trail, a lovely walk through the valley and the surrounding nature. Stunning villa

This is an absolutely beautiful villa. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 young children. Not ideal access to pool for young children and area around is rough but it was beautiful pool and we had lots of fun. It is manageable but something to be aware of which we were it is clear in villa description. Fab accommodation for 6 with kids. They provided the cot and z bed needed. Plenty of space for everyone. Teresa couldn’t be more helpful. Fully air conditioned. Sao Bras only 6 mins away for food etc. 30 mins from airport. I would stay again, it is very rural which is beautiful but if you have a a problem with insects not the place for you. I would highly recommend.

You are right: for families with small children that are not able to swim yet, the house is not recommended. I always tell this to people in advance. For families with small babies that cannot crawl yet the house is suitable. We have a camping bed for babies and a baby chair. The house is in the countryside, so yes, insects are there. But the bees in the lavender are usually more interested in flowers than in people:-) You are always most welcome to come back! Angela I

A really nice place to unwind

The property is very nice and well-situated if you are looking at a countryside retreat but want to have good access to other places in the Algarve via a rental car. All facilities in the house are well maintained and the kitchen is quite well equipped to feed a larger family. There is some wear and tear here and there throughout the house, but nothing unexpected of a shared rental house, and the local support by Theresa takes very good care of things if something needs fixing. The air-conditioning and the large pool were a blessing considering the recent heat. As it is in the countryside, you need to expect some noises from dogs in the surrounding community. Can be little at times and more sometimes, depending on the heat. I can highly recommend the house for families traveling together.

More than beautiful

It was an all-round successful holiday. The house is really beautiful, super clean and very modern. We already saw from the pictures that the pool is very large, but the reality exceeded all our expectations. Since we didn't have a rental car, we took the Uber or Bolt all the way. At first we were concerned that it would be super expensive or that it would take a long time for them to find our house. But it was the best decision, it was easy, super cheap and we never have to wait more than 10 minutes. Dear Angela, thank you for giving us this experience and dear Teresa I have never met such a likeable person as you.Thank you for your effort! We will definitely come back again

Family holiday with teenagers

We spent a week at Angela’s villa and had a fabulous time. Everything was perfect from the early booking process, to arrivals and then the stay. Angela made everything very straightforward and was a great host throughout. When we arrived Teresa and Ze kindly met us and made sure everything was in order for our holiday. We wanted a quiet break away from the busy coastline. That is exactly what we got and the villa has plenty of space, was clean with all the facilities you need. There was a large pool to relax at which was ideal for teenage children (16-19). We spent most days and evenings at the villa and took some trips to Tavira (15 mins) and Villamoura (30 mins). This villa is perfect for large groups of friends or a family. There are steps down to the pool which may not be ideal for very young children. The location is in the hills about 30 mins from Faro airport and you will definitely need a car. However the nearest large supermarket is less than 10 minutes drive away. We would highly recommend this Villa for a holiday.

Espectacular casa y entorno

Preciosa casa con todo lo necesario, cocina amplia, habitaciones confortables, chimenea acogedora y todo muy limpio. Además los jardines son muy bonitos y están muy cuidados. Disfrutamos mucho de las preciosas vistas y de la piscina. Todo inmejorable. Para repetir. Muchas gracias por todo.
