Whether you are in town for a Northwestern Football game or graduation or want to be closer to all that Evanston and Lake Michigan have to offer, this is the place for you.

One-bedroom garden apartment with kitchenette and capacity for additional guests on queen blow-up mattress in the living room. Amazing location - within a few blocks from the El and Metra trains which can take you into Chicago or downtown Evanston. The Northwestern Stadium and campus, restaurants, coffee houses, and parks are all within walking distance. The house backs onto a public golf course with a peaceful wooded walking path by the canal which you can take to the Bahai temple in Wilmette. There is free onsite parking behind the house. An outside grill and firepit are available in a lush, professionally landscaped backyard. Feel free to reach out during your stay - we're happy to suggest local spots to check out.

Great place to stay. Was here with my 13-yr old son while he attended a week-long program at Northwestern. We walked to the campus every morning, and he walked back to the apartment every afternoon. Ideally located.Host was very communicative. We had a major storm (like, tree limbs falling and lighting and downpour) during our stay, and she was completely in touch to make sure everything was all right. Lastly, I worked remotely from the apartment during the weekdays, and the wifi was solid for video calls.

Excellent stay. I needed a place to stay for three weeks on relatively short notice, and I am so happy I found Sara’s place. Great hospitality, comfortable bed, convenient location, and cute decor. I loved the access to the golf course and walking paths right out the door.

Our host was absolutely amazing. The place was super cute and cozy feeling. Everything was very clean and neat. The airb&b is only 5 minutes drive to Wilmette which has really fantastic restaurants to indulge in. It also is very close in walking to the water. If we come back to Illinois we will definitely stay here again.

Cozy stay

This property is a very cozy garden apartment. It had all amenities. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We would stay here again.

Peaceful Escape

Perfect for a quiet week in Evanston. Close to walking trails and parks. Walking distance to one of my favorite bakeries (Hewn) and many shops and restaurants. Lovely backyard. Easy access and parking. Comfortable living space. I really enjoyed and appreciated my stay.

5 stars on all counts! Everything was wonderful.The location is excellent, the apartment is beautiful, super clean and well equipped, comfy bed and couch, easy check-in and check-out. Parking is a definite plus. Sara’s responses were almost lightning fast :) Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to coming back soon!!

Spacious and peaceful home away from home

The apartment is beautiful, very roomie, and has lots of amenities. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a home cooked meal. The bedroom is quiet, comfy, and lots of storage. Bathroom and kitchen have heated floors! Garden area is very peaceful and vibrant with a variety of plants. The couch is very large and comfortable. The apartment has a very large well connected TV, and another large screen TV in the bedroom. Host was incredibly helpful with tips for the area and flexible. Great location if you're visiting Northwestern or hoping on public transport to Chicago. We'll definitely book again next time we're in town!

Great location. Clean and quiet.

Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The included parking spot was a definite plus. Very close to Northwestern University if you're in town for a visit. We were there to visit Loyola, which was a little further away, but a very easy (approx. 20 min.) drive. Close to the "L" train, which we took to downtown Chicago for some sightseeing. The basement apartment was exactly as the pictures showed. Everything was clean and well maintained. The heated floors were nice. It was perfect for my daughter and me. Also, the host (Sara) was prompt with her responses to any questions that I had and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed.

I can direct you to the best things to do in Evanston, and if you dare, I can introduce you to open-water swimming.

I have lived in Evanston for over 30 years. It is a great combination of college-town, near to Chicago, socially conscious, and full of beauty with the lake and nearby walks through nature. I am just a couple of blocks to both the El and the Metra so have easy access to downtown Chicago. I am walking distance to coffee shops, a small grocery store, restaurants, the Northwestern campus and stadium and Lake Michigan. I love that Evanston is a progressive suburb that endeavors to make everyone feel welcome.

My house is in a great neighborhood, close to everything. I am an avid gardener and the backyard is a great place to hang out, sit around a fire or pick fresh vegetables or herbs to eat.
