I highly recommend staying here. It was clean, spacious, perfect location for our event and Clayton was so easy to communicate with. We hope to be able to rent out again in the future.

My experience with visiting Iowa for the first time was highlighted by a three night stay at Clay’s…The property is secluded, accented with well manicured lawns, conveniently located to restaurants and a business thoroughfare. It’s also a short distance to/from the airport, which for me was ideal.Speaking of which, the communication received and outlined with respect to space amenities was top-notch.And to catch a glimpse of a deer grazing the morning of my departure was a perfect summation of the trip, which was peaceful and serene.I’ll definitely be back and have already started planning a follow up visit.Thanks again!

We had a great stay in this beautiful secluded apartment. The views were magnificent. The grounds around the house was so green and lush for July.The bed was super comfortable. We had the best night sleep we have had in a long time. Very well appointed decor and was visually pleasing.Very close to shopping and many restaurants. Clayton was very responsive to all of our needs. He was able to answer all of our questions. He is a great host.We hope to stay here again in the future.

The location was absolutely perfect being on the very edge of Des Moines. It was quiet, no city distractions and very private. The space was very clean and Clayton was very friendly and personable. We definitely would stay again!

Clayton is a very responsive host. Every question I had was answered within minutes. The property looked exactly like the pictures, but the description wasn’t clear about the floor plan. The small kitchen area is not attached to the main living and sleeping area. I was a bit disappointed in the amenities such as no coffee maker, just a bar of soap in the shower, and no real “extras.” This was a good place for a weekend but probably not a long-term stay. The location was great and very private with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the DM Rec Plex.

Great stay, apartment was clean and spacious, and a great location for the senior games venues. Clayton was a gracious host and communication was clear and concise. Definitely recommend.

Host canceled day of. Very unprofessional.

Showed up to the property about five thirty in the evening to the owner standing out front. He told me there was construction going on inside, the house wasn't ready and he had to cancel. He said he should have blocked out those dates. He apologized, but that didn't fix the predicament he put me in. Seemed like a nice place, but I wouldn't recommend anyone put their faith in this host. 0/10.Would NOT book again or recommend.I feel like VRBO should ban this host. Maybe I caught him at a bad time, but whocan say another renter wouldn't run into the same issue.And, to make matters worse, he listed the cancelation as a "rule violation", which tarnishes my rating on here. Not sure if that was a mistake or spite, but either way this cancelation was 0% my fault, 100% the unprofessional owner/host.Beware.

I arrived and was greeted right away and given a tour. Everything was excellent and very accessible which was fantastic as it made it very easy for me to come and go as I pleased. I was away a considerable amount of time and the simplicity made it very nice at the end of the day for me. Definitely would stay there again.
