With 2 bedrooms featuring a queen bed and a full bed, guests will have a lovely space to relax. 90 inch TV in a theater room with theater style seats. Amenities like a washing machine, heating, WiFi, and AC ensure a terrific stay. Walking distance to Resteraunts and night life. A block away from the Mesabi trail. 9 miles away from Giants Ridge ski resort and Downhill mountain bike park. 11 miles from Redhead bike park and recreational area. A very short stroll to Silver and Virginia lake. Make your holiday one for the books with a stay at our place. THERE ARE 22 FAIRLY STEEP STAIRS‼️ Please make note of this. It’s the only issue I cannot address.

What a wonderful place to stay. Virginia was an interesting town to be in for a couple of days. Got to see some interesting murals great landmarks, and the city seems to like playing music on the streets through speakers starting at 8 o’clock in the morning.

Terrific, clean, Bohemian-style apartment within easy reach of downtown and various Virginia attractions. Wonderfully accommodating host. I would absolutely stay there again anytime I visit Virginia Minnesota!

Unique downtown Virginia apartment

Overall I enjoyed my stay downtown Virginia. As someone that grew up in the area, it was fun to see inside the second floor of one of the buildings downtown (I always wondered what they looked like). The place covered my needs and the owner was always responsive. The door into the place was a bit of a challenge, but not really a surprise since it's an old building.

Clean/funky/charming apartment

We enjoyed our overnight stay. The location on the second floor above a defunct bar is a bit off-putting as you enter from the street level. But once you walk up the stairs to enter the apartment it is welcoming and exceptionally clean. The apartment has lots of unusual and funky touches that make it interesting and charming. It had everything we expected, needed and wanted. Communication with Leonard, the property manager was exceptional. He provided local dining recommendations and knowledge. I would definitely stay here again.

Good clean place

Ok, somewhere needs to say apt 116 above Magic bar- not 116 Chestnut st. We confused an old man showing up with suitcase in hand to his house- thinking it was our property.It was difficult to open door to go up steps with the code.Further, it took too long to get the Wifi code and the identity of the correct network.Queen bed mattress is awful hard- it is a body foam form. Very, very hard mattress.Loud downtown due to crazy loud drunks snd idiots driving their trucks like the Dukes of Hazzard.If we were college students or young career professionals, this would be a great apartment and living arrangement.

Thank you for the feedback. The name of the place online is Downtown Magic the discription of the apartment states that it is a “fun” downtown loft apartment If you was at an old man’s house you where not downtown. The network is magic and magic 2 for the rear internet booster both will work. I assumed that would be obvious. I will have that labeled as well. The WiFi password is on a label on the router. I’ll be sure to post a picture of the door on the site and put a larger WiFi label somewhere more obvious. As fare as the bed goes i like a firm mattress and I’m aware some people like a softer feel. The queen is firm memory foam and the full is a softer foam to hopefully have the best of both worlds. Thanks again.

It’s 22 steps up the railed stairs, but you’ll rest easy when you arrive to find comfortable beds, a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and a theater room with huge screen, relaxing theater quality chairs, and plenty of movie choices. I love the huge mountain bike mural. Almost always handy parking spaces in front. Some of the doors don’t lock or close properly, and some lights are not very bright, but it’s otherwise well worth a visit.
