If you are looking for a peaceful, beautiful setting in the Poconos to get away and have some relaxation and fun…this is the place for you! Come and enjoy your stay at our spacious Pocono Lakefront Retreat. Situated on scenic and private Lake Henry, relish in the fun of kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swimming. Use our rowboat, canoe or kayak or bring your motorized boat for tubing, wakeboarding and skiing. Enjoy your favorite “pass the time” activities on the dock during the day and beautiful sunsets in the evening. If you need a day away from the water there are many nearby activities. Across the road is 1,000 acres of state game land to wander, geocache or hunt. Within thirty minutes there are several attractions such as Claws & Paws Zoo, Lake Wallenpaupak SteamTown National Historical Site, Lackawanna Coal Mine Tours, Scranton, Montage Mountain Resort, Elk Mountain Resort and several State Parks.

Our home is perfect for your family or friends. It offers a beautiful open floor plan with cathedral ceilings and wrap around windows. The kitchen is fully equipped with all serving and cooking supplies. Microwave and coffee maker are available, too. Let kids play pool, pingpong or mini foosball downstairs or on our spacious wrap around deck. There is one bedroom on the main floor and 2 bedrooms upstairs. Parking area accommodates 3 cars.

The property was in very good condition. Everything was clean and easy to use. It was large enough for 10 people to stay comfortably. The dock on the lake gave us a nice place to sit and relax. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with any questions asked. It was a wonderful stay, I would definitely stay there again.

What a cozy house! Such an aura of family together time, this gem has clearly been experienced by several generations of the same family sharing laughter and love. There are touches of past times throughout the home but has also been wonderfully updated over time. The owner was perfect with communication which was much appreciated. The dock was great, there’s a massive family of bluegill sunnies living underneath that can be seen and caught (tossed back in of course) right off the dock! Boats are all well kept too. We will certainly return for another visit in the future!

Fishers paradise

We had a great vacation here. Home was comfortable and well appointed. The dock was great and we caught so many fish! Would love to vacation here again! Thanks Rob and Michelle!

We LOVED it! Great house qith plenty of space! Every place we have ever rented aleays lists that the home is stocked with everything you'll need, but this house absolutely was!! I always bring cooking equipment and cooking utensils because homes usualky don't actually have decent items to prepare a meal for a family, this did!Very clean! Outdoor screen porch deck and yard area with fore pit was great! The dock was beautiful and we utilized the paddle boards, row boat and some swimming floats and noodles. Nice quiet road . We enjoyed fishing and did not turn on tje television once!! We will be back!!!Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Loving the Lake Henry Life…

August 12, 2023 Your very comfortable room accommodations and generous living spaces were exceptional and well-suited for our family. The weather cooperated and was perfect for picture-taking, swimming, boating, sunning, reading, relaxing, and fishing right from your spacious, family-friendly dock. Your basement areas for playing pool and ping-pong were also a welcome break on our one rainy day. Having your washer and dryer there, made planning and packing less stressful and gave us more time to enjoy each others’ company. We utilized the grill, the multitude of pots and pans for the stove, and even baking dishes for our now famous Mac and Cheese and English muffin pizzas. Our meals were especially delicious and hearty, because of your full-sized oven and available seasonings and spices. We had so many enjoyable mornings on the wrap-round deck and evenings in the screened room: playing cards, dining (bug-free!), reconnecting, listening to nature’s sounds, and then feeling the quiet, stillness that only comes from a mountain home, such as yours. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home with us! We were never ready to leave, but we know we plan to return to your lovely piece of heaven, again, very soon. Thank you again, Rob & Michelle!

Family Time Lake Henry

A true Off the radar Pocono gem. We really enjoyed our 12 days at this roomy cabin by the lake. The grand kids loved exploring the lake, having a campfire and fishing (lots of bluegill!) right off the dock. The owner was responsive and helpful. The adults appreciated the peace and quiet of this bucolic location!

Nice stay and good host

This is our second time staying here. Nice quiet area and property. Communication with the owners is excellent. I'd recommend to anyone looking to get away and relax.

Beautiful, spacious retreat

Our family of five truly enjoyed this wonderful home on Lake Henry! The sleeping accommodations were plentiful. We had choices of many bedrooms and beds so we were able to go to sleep and wake up without disturbing anyone else. The kitchen was stocked with dishes, bowls, pots, pans and every utensil we could possibly need. We spent many days outside enjoying the screened room, deck, and picnic table, with sunsets included. And inside, playing ping pong, pool, and pinochle, too. (We also caught some Olympic highlights with Rob’s help- Thank you!!) We spent countless hours catching lots of sunnies and perch off the dock. We were able to take a couple of trips on the rowboat around the lake, too! Though we were here during some unusually cool days in August, we swam almost everyday. We were even lucky enough to spot a little turtle in the lake that we named Henry! He appears to love leftover Fritos!! We had been long-term Summer residents of Lake Henry at another cottage, but now were very happy to have found Rob and Michelle, and their spectacular home. Thank you for another memory-filled vacation this summer. We look forward to a return trip!

Lake Henry

Our family enjoyed our stay at Lake Henry. Everyone had a great time. The dock was perfect for our boat and our Grandsons caught plenty of panfish.

Wonderful!!

We couldn't be more grateful. The house is lovely, with plenty of room and sleeping spaces. Beautiful views of the lake, and situated in the woods. We were able to use the canoe, and had everything we needed to enjoy the stay. For those needing a getaway in these crazy times, this was perfect. We had 4 people doing online meetings at once, with no glitches and plenty of room for privacy. Our hosts were extraordinarily kind and thoughtful, and extremely responsive. Just a great getaway for our quarantined family.

2020 Family Vacation

The dock was a hit with all the family members. We spent a lot of time there. Played ping pong often. Everything was very nice and clean. The sunset was beautiful the one evening. It was everything the ad said it would be.

Nice Property

We had a great time at the lake. Nice property with plenty of things to do. If you want some easy fishing for kids there are a million little sunnies right off the dock just waiting for them. Liked having dinner on screened in porch and having a fire in the firepit at night.

Awesome Lake Henry House

Great Location, private dock and great house with many beds and modern amenities. Would definitely recommend if you have kids! Fishing and swimming was excellent as well.

Very happy

This home near Lake Henry was the perfect setting for two couples in their 60’s to get away for a long fall weekend. Rob was easy to deal with and the home certainly met our needs and expectations.

it was as advertised-no surprises. House was clean and everything in good working condition.

Really enjoyed ourselves. The only negatives were some kinds of gnats throughout the 1st level and most of the pool cues did not have any tips on them. O/T that it was perfect for our family to enjoy for the 3 days.

Great time

We all had such a great time! Beautiful Big dock on the lake and the fishing was excellent! Rob was more than happy to help us with anything that we needed and he was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs some time away.

Michelle and I (Rob) have been on Lake Henry for the past 28 years. Our girls love the water and the woods. Michelle is a teacher from upstate New York, and I'm currently a pastor from Lansdale, PA with a background in the medical field. We have incredible memories on this lake and would love to have you experience some as well.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

I love relaxing on the dock as well as having some fun in the lake too. This lake is a great secret. It's small enough that it's not on most people's radar, yet big enough to have a lot of fun tubing and wakeboarding. This lake is so peaceful. There also 1000 acres of state game lands to explore right across the street. You will find many other things to do closely, but we prefer to hang out at the lake!
