Stay peacefully in Roseland at this 4-bedroom farmhouse on a working cattle and sheep farm. With a full dining room and eat-in kitchen, there is plenty of space for casual dining. Enjoy a meal on the back deck under our expandable awning. While outside in our spacious yard, spend the evening stargazing or listening to the sounds of nature around you. During the day, take in our mountain views as well as cattle and sheep grazing nearby. With 2 queen beds, 1 full bed, and 2 twin beds, this phenomenal property offers a comfortable retreat for guests. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like our gas grill, AC, hair dryers, and WiFi during your stay. We're happy to assist with any questions while you stay at our farmhouse.

The place is surrounded by beautiful and peaceful scenery. We had 7 adults, a child and a dog. It's very spacious and it accommodated all of us very comfortably. We also loved watching the stars and the fireflies in the night as there is no light pollution. The host, Dana, was very responsive every time we had any questions. We really enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it!!

Excellent Stay

Large enough to accommodate party of 6, ideal for just relaxing or lots of hiking options near by. Beautiful home surrounded by nature, host was very responsive and overall very happy with the stay.

The property was awesome, no light pollution, the stars were bright, and having the cows and sheep to visit with was fun for all ages. Plenty of room for the entire family to visit in the living room, and eat together at the dining room table. Parking the cars in the garage was a plus, and made it easy to unload, and load at the end of the visit. Induction cooktop worked well, and coffee maker kept us all satisfied in the morning. Truly enjoyed our stay

The home and property were perfect for our family as we visited Albermarle county historic sites and the Blue ridge parkway. Very clean and comfortable, we especially enjoyed being outside with the incredible views of the rolling green hills, cows with their babies and the sheep! Thank you Dana..

Felt like home

Our family took a spontaneous trip to Virginia to check out some historical sites. This home accommodated our family of 6 wonderfully. We loved the beautiful farmland that surrounded this property. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay overall. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with, which made everything smooth from start to finish.The home is exactly as pictured—cozy, spacious, and very welcoming. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made it perfect for enjoying meals together as a family. There was plenty to do for everyone, from books and board games to TV and reliable internet. The layout offers great space for groups, and the outdoor areas are especially beautiful and inspiring—perfect for relaxing and spending quality time together.A couple of small suggestions for added comfort:* It would be helpful to have shower gel or body soap available in the bathrooms for guests who may not bring their own.* The mattresses are fine for a short stay, but adding mattress toppers or upgrading them could make the experience even more comfortable.Overall, it’s a lovely place with a warm atmosphere and a great host—we truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.

Our family of six had a terrific time staying at this charming farmhouse for my daughter’s wedding weekend. Everything was neat and clean when we arrived. The host even left us a pound of delicious, local coffee and fresh fruit to enjoy during our visit. The views from each window were idyllic. As we pulled into the driveway, we were greeted by the friendly cows on the family farm. At breakfast the next morning, we enjoyed watching the sheep graze. The bedrooms were comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed having our morning coffee in the intimate kitchen breakfast area, and our larger family meals in the dining room. At night we had fun hanging out together in the large, comfortable living room, watching TV and playing board games. Our host Dana was lovely. We had a chance to meet her on our first day there, and she was friendly and helpful. Her communication throughout the process was prompt and knowledgeable about the area. She even gave me a recommendation for a local hairdresser prior to our arrival. Overall, it was the perfect location for our wedding weekend, and a welcoming and tranquil place to retreat to at the end of our busy days.
