Great place to stay. Clean and comfy. Only a couple minutes from Port Oliver boat ramp. Less than a mile. Plenty of parking. The host is very easy to communicate with.

An amazing transformation of what has to be a very old farm house. The cleanliness, functionality and decor are nice indeed. Everyone walked away impressed and committed to checking availability of this property first in our future visits to the area. Sitting on the porch with coffee every morning as the sun came up, hearing the cows, donkeys, turkeys and seeing nature in action was an unexpected plus. We even saw a bald eagle! Definitely recommended.

Highly recommend this property. Had such a unique feel. Great country home with lots of space and the decor was spot on. We stayed here with our 5 kiddos (ages 3-12) and there was plenty of room/beds. It was a relaxed comfortable setting. We sat out by the fire pit one night and enjoyed some s’mores under the beautiful Kentucky night. It’s really close to Barren River Lake which is an absolutely stunning lake to hang out at and even rent boats. Mammoth Cave is about 30 minutes away driving through the countryside. Overall, great stay and if we are ever back in the area we will book again.

The house is beautiful the pictures do not do it justice. The lake is just a short drive away. The house is very clean and the host was very kind. Absolutely would stay here again.

We enjoyed staying here. We really liked how the house was decorated. It was great for our family to get together and visit. Christmas music was playing when we arrived. That was a nice addition to make the family Christmas special.

Stewart continues to exceed our expectations every time we stay at one of his properties. We’ve booked with him many times now, and each experience has been smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. He is incredibly responsive, welcoming, and genuinely cares about his guests. Our team always looks forward to staying at his places, and we can confidently say he is one of the best hosts we’ve worked with. We highly recommend Stewart and will absolutely continue booking with him in the future!

Best Host Hospitality and Home

Awesome Host communication and accomodation: 1st Class! Fresh porch florals were beautiful. The Jackson House was immaculate - not a smudge or spot inside or outside. So much was detailed and provided from delicate vintage and seasonal decor; in-tune guitars; and fully stocked eminities throughout. Highly enjoyed and recommend!

Great communication with owner Plenty of kitchen supplies and well-stocked bathrooms with lots of towels, shampoo, soap. Comfortable beds. The cool vintage stove and oven run hot (watch things very closely). This didnt impact us, but, there is earth moving going on at the property line with a steep drop off on one side. Parking for boat was very convenient with plenty of space to park and turn around.

Unique Place to stay

My family & I loved the house. The house was very clean, kitchen very well stocked, plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, we didn't have to make a trip to the store for necessities. The only negative comment we had was the water in the big bathroom never got very hot, stayed lukewarm so we took very fast showers. My grandbabies wanted to stay at the house forever. I would definitely recommend staying there, I plan and pick out where we stay every year for vacation and this is one goes high on my list of places we have stayed

Great Place to stay for a few days

We stayed there for a few nights with two of our Grandkids as we had plans to visit attractions in the area. It's a nice old farmhouse and in looking at the past photos in the house, I am sure it has some stories it could tell. We found the house clean and well stocked with everything we needed for the kitchen & the bathroom essentials were readily available. The beds & linens were new and comfortable. The TV has multiple streaming channel options if needed. We enjoyed the firepit a couple of nights as weather permitted. The land behind the house is beautiful & the area is quiet. The Wi-Fi has an impressive 500Mbps up/down for when everyone needs to stay connected. The communication with the owner/caretaker was always responsive. The one thing I would mention is 3 of the 4 bedrooms are upstairs and there is no bathroom up there as both are located on the first floor. We would stay there again if we were in the area and would certainty recommend it to others.

Our family of three generations enjoyed every minute at the Jackson House. The lovely house is exactly as pictured and was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is abundant parking. Anything we needed was available. We had morning coffee on the porch while watching eagles soar over the fields and enjoyed a family gathering under the large trees in the back yard. The host was very pleasant and promptly replied to questions prior to check in. We hope to return in the future.

Would definitely make a trip just to stay in this wonderful house. Close enough to town but still in the country. The beds were great. We enjoyed just sitting on the porch. The only recommendation we’d make is…… having a sidewalk to the driveway so we wouldn’t track grass into the house….. by all means, not a deal breaker just a suggestion.
