Caddis Cabin (Cabin #2)

Take a break and unwind at the peaceful and cozy Caddis Cabin in Paradise Valley. This pet-friendly tiny cabin is thoughtfully designed with just enough space for a comfortable and restful stay. The beds are cozy, the setting is quiet, and the views are breathtaking. The cabin works especially well for couples, small families with children, or even groups of four adults who pack light and appreciate a minimalist space.

You will be close to the legendary Chico Hot Springs, the Old Saloon, Pine Creek Lodge, local wedding venues, world-class fly fishing, river rafting, horseback riding, and scenic trails. Just 35 miles from the North Entrance to Yellowstone and 25 miles south of Livingston, the Mayfly Cabin is your gateway to the best of Paradise Valley.

While the cabin is compact, many of our guests have found it perfectly suited for their needs—especially those looking for an affordable and well-located base to explore the area.

Our one-night stay for a show at Pine Creek Lodge was great. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. It was super close to Pine Creek and easy to get to.

This little cabin was so clean and fresh. It was convenient to the activities we had planned. It was a bit smaller than I’d envisioned, but so compact and perfect that it didn’t matter.

Beautiful little cabin perfect for staying in the area. Attended a show at the Old Saloon in Emigrant so the location and transportation were perfect. Good communication from the staff throughout the process. Would recommend and will stay again. Only reason for a 4 star on the property is due to it being new so it’s still being built up I believe.

Home Away From Home

Wow! We cannot thank Natalie and EJ enough for providing such a warm and welcoming cabin! We came up for a little birthday getaway, and the cabin was not only the highlight, but also, such a lovely start to our weekend! We had amazing food all weekend at the Sage Lodge and Old Saloon, and then ended our trip at Chico Hot Springs, but overall, our core memories will be at the Yellow Stonefly Cabin! Our two kids were THRILLED about the bunkbeds, and my husband and I were blown away with how clean, cute, and comforting the whole cabin was! We will definitely be visiting again, and can NEVER recommend enough for others to stay! Amazing cabins!

Hi there! We’re EJ and Natalie, the proud owners of Yellow Stonefly Cabins. Our journey together started over a decade ago at Montana State University where we discovered our shared passion for the outdoors. Though we both grew up in Colorado—Natalie in the mountain town of Crested Butte and EJ in the cow town of Greeley— Montana has always had our hearts. EJ has a degree in Fish and Wildlife and has spent years working with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, exploring the mountains, rivers, and backroads of this incredible state. He knows these waters like the back of his hand and never passes up an opportunity to fish. Natalie, on the other hand, has spent the last five years managing vacation homes in Big Sky, helping travelers experience the magic of Montana firsthand. Together, we’ve built a life centered around adventure, whether it’s casting a line at sunrise, hiking to a new alpine lake, skiing through fresh powder, or loading up our Airstream for a weekend escape. No adventure is complete without our two Labrador retrievers, Honey and Bo, who rule our world (and would argue that they actually own the cabins). If you see them trotting around the property, just know they’re on very important business—mostly greeting guests, sniffing out the best trails, and scouting for snacks. In November of 2024, we took a leap and purchased this special property, fulfilling a dream we’ve had for years. We instantly fell in love with the charm of these cabins and the breathtaking setting of Paradise Valley, and we knew we wanted to create a space where others could experience the same sense of peace and adventure that we feel here. We have big plans in store—from exciting new additions to thoughtful little spruce-ups—all with the goal of making Yellow Stonefly Cabins an even more welcoming and beautiful retreat. This summer will be a busy one, but we’re embracing every moment of it, and we can’t wait to share this journey with you
