Summary:
Awesome 1-bed studio on the 6th floor with an amazing balcony and views of western Cali. The apartment comes fully equipped with everything needed for great stay, including a high quality queen size bed, a fully stocked kitchen, safe, fast WiFi, SmartTV that connects to all your favorite apps.
The Hayedo building was made for short term rentals and comes with top amenities such as 24/7 security, elevators, free parking, rooftop pool, and a basic gym.
The Space:
This is a 1-bed / 1.5-bath apartment with a private balcony and roof top pool. It is located in one of the best short term rental buildings that Cali has to offer, a brand new project called Hayedo de Juanambú.
The total size of the space including the balcony is 61 m2 / 656 sqft.
The sleeping area has direct access to the balcony and private bathroom through the walk-in closet. It has air conditioning and a SmartTV that connects to all the streaming apps. There is also a screen and blackout to keep sunlight out and assure a good night's sleep.
The queen size bed is high quality, on the firm side.
The balcony is generous in size and is the perfect place to soak in the warm Cali climate, enjoy an outdoors meal, read a book or simply indulge in the company of someone you like over snacks and drinks.
The kitchen is fully outfitted including fridge, oven, stove, blender and cooking utensils. Next to the kitchen there's a desk with a nice chair and monitor you can use to connect your laptop and work.
There is a safe for your personal belongings and an iron plus ironing board available.
WiFi is a fast 300 MB fiber optic connection.
Finally, there's an in-unit washer and dryer (2-in-1 machine) at your disposal. It's located in the closet next to the fridge.
We have free parking on site in the basement with elevator access.
Housekeeping is provided during your stay and is available for an additional fee of $50,000 COP.
Pool is on the 9th pool of the building and open from 9 am to 9 pm. Closed on Mondays for maintenance (or Tuesdays if Monday is a holiday).
Gym and steam bath are on the 1st floor at the end of the hallway, open from 6 am to 9 pm. Please note that use of the steam bath comes at an additional cost.
There are 4 office spaces by the lobby available to rent by the hour.
The building has an electric backup generator and a water reserve tank making sure you will not be without basic utilities.
Guest Access:
While visiting you will be able to enjoy the apartment, balcony and the common areas such as rooftop pool, gym, lobby, garden, elevators and parking facility.
Please note that use of the common area office spaces and steam bath come at an additional cost per hour.
You are welcome to have people visit you but please respect the house rules at all times and remember that all guests must be registered with the building's security guard.
The Neighborhood:
The residential neighborhood of Juanambú is close to all the fun. The Granada Zona Rosa (entertainment district) begins only two blocks away on the 9th Avenue which is packed with bars, clubs, restaurants, coffee shops, designer stores and several hotels.
Nearby is the river boulevard which is great for sightseeing and is always a lot of fun on Friday afternoon.
The Centenario shopping center with supermarket, food court, coffee shops and cinema is only 3 blocks away. More famous shopping center Chipichape is about 10 minutes drive north.
Behind the building is the mountain known as "Cerro Las Tres Cruces" which offers a great morning hike up to the 3 crosses statues. Awaiting you at the top there's an amazing view of Cali, fresh fruit juices and a primitive outdoors gym. Expect the climb to take 45-60 minutes depending on your physical condition. Best time to go is from 6-10 am.
Getting Around:
During the day, I suggest walking wherever possible. Enjoy the warm, eternal summer climate. Get to know the city. Explore!
If you're going further, then there are more than 20.000 taxis in Cali and they are very affordable. Minimum fare starts at 4.000 pesos which is less than a dollar. If you don't speak Spanish then Uber, Cabify, Beat and Didi all operate here and are the better choice. Busses are plentiful but tend to get very crowded and there is no bus line that passes by the property.
At night, best to always use a taxi / Uber / Didi / Beat / Cabify.
We also have private drivers we can recommend for airport pickups and trips around the city as well.

Registration:
According to Colombian law, a photo ID must be presented for each person staying at the property. To complete this registration, we send a link where you can upload all the information mentioned above. A signed rental contract is also required before entering. You can complete it through the same link that is sent as soon as the reservation is confirmed.
Please note the apartment is in a residential building called Hayedo de Juanambú with security at the reception. We only operate the apartment, we do not administrate the building. The building requires a registration process separate from ours to gain access. You have to announce your group at the reception first, present identification and fill out the log book.
After your arrival, your group may be asked again to identify themselves at the reception if they step in and out of the building. We recommend to have identification on you at all times.
Medical tourists:
Please inform If you are getting any medical procedure done while staying at our property. Damages to bedsheets and towels will be charged.
Airport pick-ups:
Let us know if you need help with airport transportation. We work with several top rated drivers and would be happy to arrange. They will wait for you, help with luggage and allow for one 15-minute stop on the way to a supermarket, ATM, etc. They know the exact location of the property making sure you won’t get lost.
Factura electrónica:
We issue a legal electronic invoice for the amount monetized in Colombia (after VRBO commissions). This complies with all the local regulation if you need to deduct your stay as a business expense.
Interruption in utilities:
This is the tropics and utilities such as electricity, water supply, and internet can experience interruptions from time to time. These potential situations are completely out of our control and are not cause for any refund. Luckily the building has a back-up water tank and electric plant for emergencies.
